CHAPTER 27

Lynx:

There I was at the end of exams party doing everything but enjoying myself, something was very much off with me and that was causing me to act nothing as I would usually act at an amazing party, I was pitifully siping my coke in the corner of losers where only my crushed ego was my company, because of the bullshit newspaper the amazing school had published even police officers had come into my house, because some parent was a cop and was stupid enough to believe the gossip with no sort of proof, and the anonymous tip was still unknown. To my utter surprise, a very drunk Rosie Langston threw herself at me, and I now knew she was an emotional type of drunk, as I was about to push her off she started saying something that caught my interest.

Rosie: Oh wow would you look at that-its the veeery queeeen of the school in the looosers coorner. No wonder Jaaaacky boy wanted me to deeeestrooy youuuu.

Lynx: Jack? as in my ex-boyfriend?

Rosie: Suuure who else? booy was bold enough to request an inteeeerview in the middleeee of my articleee

Lynx: Was he the anonymous tip that led you to write the article?

Rosie: Yupi! he was the oneee and only one that told me eeeverythingg

Rosie: Oh geeez, I shoudn't have said that hehe, keeep my saaacred secret will you?

Then she proceeded to lay on my shoulder and put all her weight on me, that was until I moved her onto the couch and left my pity corner.

Because of the ramblings of the newspaper chief, the anonymous author knew not so anonymous to me, of course, who else would it be, it's not like anyone else could have an idea of what happened and he must have realized what happened although he got the completely wrong idea. While I was trying to get a hold of my emotions I felt a pair of eyes watching, as I turned I could have sworn I saw the silhouette of Amber, the way the person's steps sounded was strangely like Amber and as I was about to reach out the sudden presence of my dad made me jump.

Something was odd and it was not only the fact that my dad was not even bothering to hide his huge wings but the strange person was still in my mind, nevertheless I ignored the person for now and addressed the more pressing matter, the sudden appearance of my dad.

Weirdly enough the man I knew to be always full of energy was showing signs of fatigue, even in the dark his eyes had dark shadows and his hair had not been brushed at all, I didn't have time to ask any questions when my dad got near me and grabbed me by the waist and flew up into the sky. Because of the strength of the wind in my face and the speed, my dad was flying at I could do nothing but keep my mouth closed and wait till we arrived wherever he was taking me. I realized we were heading home when I saw the white roof that was getting closer and closer, with a sudden flash I was suddenly in my living room with a pair of bright green eyes looking directly at my identical ones.
