Anirudh's POV
My little friend Bondita wants to commit suicide and go away from this world. Her thoughts and her situation is in dangerous state. But how to go near to her and console her. Did she still remember me or forgotten me?
Just then I saw Chandrachur came there and sat beside her. She is shrinking and adjusting herself as grown up girls naturally do when a man comes to talk to them. I thought may be he came here to console her as a responsible brother in law.
He suddenly held his hand on her shoulders and pulled her head towards him and placed it on his chest and started consoling her by patting her face telling that he is there for her. He will take care of her needs.
She is trembling and trying hard to move away from him. Somehow I didn't like him consoling her by holding her. Can't he do that from distance by oral words also na? Or instead of that he could have sent his wife or kaki to sit with her. I also smacked my head mentally for narrow minded thoughts like an illiterate fellow.
He is her brother in law afterall and a brother in law can take care of his sali sahiba like a sister also na.
She forcedly came out of grip and by bringing her knees close to her chest she told that she is ok.
He asked her to come down and be with maa. After sunrise she may be taken away. Later you can't see her you have to be with me (somehow his words are irking me)...I mean with us only.
She sadly told that she will come in a while and asked him to go.
He left after Patting her cheeks and back for a while. (Author's pov: In that candle light Anirudh is unable to see that Chandrachur hands crawled on her back which she is feeling disgusting and hardly enduring)
I am unable to detect whether he is consoling her or touching her against her will. Suddenly it striked me Sumati kaki telling the name of person cha or sha..is it Chandrachur? Perhaps may be or may not be.. I should not come to conclusion without proper evidence or reason to suspect.
Later Rimjhim kaki Tupur came at different times and taunted her that she should have left the world than her mother and she had no expression on her face but those words are making my blood boil. They are provoking her to commit suicide. Thakuma commanding Bondita to atleast bid farewell to her mother properly as she didn't let her mother live peacefully in all these years.
In their talks I understood that Bondita is vomiting intentionally after eating which Indicates that she doesn't want to get strength through food for her survival.
It is early hours in the morning. Fuse is with me and Chandrachur is shouting that someone had taken away fuse.. Bondita is oblivious to anyone talks, cries. Sampoorna and her parents came . Sampoorna embraced Bondita to which latter shedded tears heartfully in her sister's embrace . Later Sampoorna took her aside and made her wash face and came outside and sat near her maa. I slowly came outside carefully and looking at everyone from trees. My mind is not willing to leave her and go but have to think about it, what can I do for her.
I came outside to go back to my home in Tulsipur and while passing in next Street , Gagan came in searching of me. He seems to be worried that where I am all the time and told that kaka called him many times to know where was I because I didn't go to my house yesterday full night.
I looked like lost and he asked the reason. I told what all I discovered from Sampoorna's mother and how I sneaked into Bondita's haveli and found that she is willing to commit suicide, etc.
He also felt sad and told that it is the disastrous effect of child marriages. At that moment I recollected Sampoorna's mother telling that Thakuma is going to fix marriage for her soon and I shared this news with him. He told that we will think of it and asked me to go to home .
