Chapter two ~ Request

Sunday, 7:13pm
Location, Austin, Texas.

Julie knocked at Schlatts office door that was across the hall from her room, she awaited an answer
After a few seconds she heard a
"Come in" That was sort of shouted? but not loud enough to be a shout?

Julie opened the door and saw Schlatt with his headset around his neck while he was editing a youtube video labeled, "Watching your cursed tiktoks".

"Heyyyyyyyyy Schlattttt,"

Schlatt kept his attention on the screen but slightly chuckled to himself "What are you about to ask me," He clicked his mouse a few times and stayed focused.

"What?! nothing! just wanted to let you know i appreciate you and you're my best friend." She smiled even though he could not see him.

"Very cool, i don't believe you" He clicked a few things on his screen and turned in his black office chair to face Julie "What do you want from me jules? What is the request?"

"Uhhhhh... okay so basically.." Julie explained the whole situation to him and he had a puzzled expression on his face.

"Okay? you lied to your mom, what does that have to do with me?" He asked her.

"Glad you asked! okay look i never ask you for anything and i will literally do whatever you want me to if you will say yes to what i'm about to ask you," She rambled on.

"Okay... it can't be that bad, just tell me what it is!!" Schlatt said impatiently

"I need you to like... pretend to like, maybe be my boyfrie-"

"No." Schlatt replied.
Schlatt wasn't actually too sure what was keeping him from saying yes.

"Schlatt come on! please just hear me out" She asked and he raised an eyebrow, pretty much telling her to continue "Look, Schlatt, we don't have to kiss or anything you just need to pretend like... you're dating me."

"But we don't kiss? no one will believe that we are dating, Julie" He replied to her

"If anyone says anything i'll just say we like to keep things more private! and that we don't like to weird people out. And I i can say it's for religious reasons or something.. I dunno."

"Okay, why don't you just tell them you guys broke up?" He asked her.

"Schlatt you already know why." She crossed her arms.

"But why do you care what they think?" He raised a brow, which he did quite often.

"Well i cant fucking stand them and i shouldn't give a shit what they think but they're still my family, therefore i value their opinion and acceptance."

Schlatt sighed and turned back to his monitor "Ill think about it, Jules."

"Well if you decide to, we leave next sunday, and it'll only be a week and a half, it'll go by quick, i promise, and i'll do the dishes for the first two weeks that we're back" She sighed and walked out of the room, feeling pretty hopeless and was preparing for embarrassing herself and showing up alone to New york.

Schlatt sat in his chair, just staring at his monitor and thinking if he wanted to say yes to her.

Julie was sitting on the sofa alone while watching some random romance movie she found on netflix
She shoved a handful of popcorn into her mouth, soon after that Schlatt came and sat by her on the couch

Julie swallowed her popcorn while keeping her eyes glued to the tv "So, Mr jschlatt, made a decision yet?"

"Nope, He responded with a smile.

"Fantastic," She said blankly and shoved another handful of the buttery snack into her mouth.

"What're you watching?" He asked, looking down at her then back to the Tv.

Julie replied with a shrug, eyes still focused on the tv "Dunno, random movie i found, kinda sucks ass but i'm gonna finish it anyway.

Schlatt just nodded and then stood up, brushing his pants off to straighten out the wrinkles "Well i'm gonna go finish editing."

"Don't stay up too late, please" She said and threw a piece of popcorn at him.

Schlatt smiled and responded "I won't, Jules"

4am

Julie was asleep in her bed, she finished her movie and went to bed around 11:30 or so, she she hadn't been asleep for too long.
Lips parted and light snores escaping from her.

As she was sleeping peacefully, she was suddenly awoke by her door being thrown open against her wall and Schlatt saying something, but she couldn't tell what it was in her groggy state.

"What-" She said in a raspy voice and forced her eyes open to see Schlatt standing in her doorway "Schlatt you better be dying or the house better be on fire, what the fuck is the time?"

"Like four something," He shrugged and walked over to her "Yes," Is all he said.

"What?" She responded, very confused. No, extremely confused.

"I'll do it!" Schlatt exclaimed and her brows just furrowed

"Dude, what're you talking about?" She was so tired that she had forgot about their conversation from earlier in the day.

"I'll be your fake boyfriend!"

A smile plastered onto her face.
