Chapter ten ~ Twins

Saturday, 9:52am.
Location, New York.
Julie's moms house ~ Kitchen.

Julie, Schlatt and her parents were all getting the twins birthday party ready.
It was a toy story themed party because it was the twins all time favourite movie, and it was also the only theme they could decide on without arguing.

"So who's going to get the cake?" Julie's mom asked.

"Uhhh, me and Schlatt could go get it?" Julie responded as she blew up another balloon with a bright red helium tank

"No, i need you here Julie, i need your help with some stuff that your father simply has no idea about." Julie's mom chuckled and her father gave a side eye

"Well i could just go grab it?" Schlatt said, unsure of himself

"Really? that would be very helpful" Her mother said with a smile.

"Of course, i don't mind" Schlatt said as he grabbed his keys and threw on his shoes.

"So just tell them my name and phone number then they should give you the cake" Julie's mom said to him and he nodded.

"Got it, see you all in a bit" He placed a quick kiss onto Julie's forhead and left quicker than he gave the kiss.
Julie's face was absolutely burning up from the little gesture that was quite unexpected.

"So, Julie.." Her mother started

"Nope!" Julie quickly responded, she went to turn around but quickly was brought back by her mother.

"Anyway.. I wanted to ask you a sort of.. how do i say, personal question.."

"Okay! bye!" The girl exclaimed as she tried to leave the kitchen but her mother grabbed her arm and lightly pulled her back in "What? mom."

"I was just wondering, why don't you and Schlatt ever.. kiss?"

"Huh?" Julie about choked on air from such a personal question.

"Well, i don't know, i was just worried about you too, that's all!"

"We're fine mom, promise." She looked away trying to think of an excuse or lie, she turned back to her mother once she thought of something "We kiss, just in private, that's all. We don't like kissing in front of people."

"Oh, okay honey, i understand."

Julie just nodded her head slightly then was off to her room to try and forget the stupid conversation she just wasted her breath on.

Julie laid in bed scrolling thru tiktok, things at her moms place was pretty boring so she was excited about the fact that she left tomorrow.

A good 35 minutes went by, then an aggravated Schlatt came walking in.

"Hi there," She said smiling at him, she was able to tell he was clearly pissed.

"Hi." He said as he walked in and shut the door.

"How are you?" Julie asked him, setting her phone down and turning her attention onto Schlatt.

"I am fine." Schlatt responded quickly. He was not fine, By the way.

"What happened?"

"Well the lady gave me the wrong cake and then i asked re-told her what i needed and your moms name, then she accused me of identity theft!"

Julie tried to hold back a laugh and kept a straight face "Seriously? did you get the cake..?"

Schlatt nodded and plopped down onto his side of the bed, laying down and grabbing the covers, pulling them right over his face.
