Chapter eight ~ Birthday

Thursday, 5:45 am.
Location, New york.
Julie's moms house ~ Bedroom.

Julie made sure she woke up extra early so she, Alison and Schlatt could go out for a little birthday breakfast before school started.
Julie got out of bed, slithering out from underneath Schlatts arm and into the bathroom.
She turned the shower on and began to strip, stepping in and letting the warm water hit her, waking her up just a bit.

She finished around 6:05 and hopped out, wrapping herself in a towel and walking into the shared room with Schlatt, assuming he was still asleep.

"Oh, morning Schlatt."

"Morning, Jules." He said to her.

Julie dug around for some clothes to wear for the day "You need to get ready, we're about to leave to get breakfast with Ali"

Schlatt nodded then laid back down and closed his eyes.

"Schlatt get your ass up."

"Nah."

Julie groaned and went back into the bathroom to finish getting ready.

"Okay Ali, whatdya want? you can have anything" Julie asked Alison who was sitting in the backseat

"Caramel frap, a chocolate cake pop andddddd, an oat meal please!" Alison said with a big smile plastered on her face.

"Anything for the birthday girl!"
Julie said then looked to Schlatt to see if he got her order and he nodded, he then repeated it into the mic

"Okay, anything else i can get for ya?" The lady behind the big green speaker said

Schlatt looked to Julie

"Blonde vanilla latte, iced please, and whatever you'd like" Julie smiled at him

"Two blonde vanilla lattes, iced" Schlatt said to the lady

"Alrighty, and what size will those be?" She asked

"Uhhhh" Schlatt looked to Julie again

"Venti"

"Venti? what does that even mean? okay-" Schlatt turned his head back to the speaker "Venti, and that'll be all"

They got the total for their drinks and food then pulled up to the window to pay.
Schlatt started digging in his back pocket for his wallet but before he could even pull it all the way out, Julie was already reaching across the seat, handing her card to the man who stood at the window.

"Hey! i was gonna pay" Schlatt complained.

"Oh, we're you? i hadn't noticed" Julie batter her eyes at him like she was clueless

"You're an idiot." He responded and took the card and receipt from the man and handed it over to Julie.

"Oh look! he wrote his number on here!" Julie exclaimed.

"What? let me see" Schlatt asked and Julie's handed him the piece of paper

Schlatts eyes scanned it for a moment
The back of the receipt read

'xxx-xxx-xxxx < 3'

Schlatt quickly rolled the paper up and shoved it into his back pocket.
Julie figured he just did that since they're "dating" and Alison was in the car, so she figured she could get the receipt back from him later.
