Chapter 21: I'll be sitting here waiting for when you return to me

Johnny sits in his office, confused as he stares at the pendant in his hand. Something was off, something was definitely wrong. He dials Taeyong's number but it goes straight to voicemail.

Karina comes. "Sir, the security cameras were frozen. Nothing was deleted but the cameras froze." She reports. Johnny furrows his eyebrows, tilting his head. "Ten disappeared for a while. . . Call him in." He orders.

Karina bows and leaves the office. She soon comes back with Ten.

"I was about to sleep. What is it?"

"You know I'm really disappointed in you, right?"

Ten rolls his eyes. "What do you want me to do? Go on my knees and beg for forgiveness? Oh please. . ." He scoffs, crossing his arms.

". . . Can you explain why the security cameras froze at the party?" Johnny questions. Ten shrugs, "I don't have any idea about that."

Johnny gets up from his seat and moves in front of his desk. "Are you sure? You've been picking at Taeyong since he got here and now he's disappeared."

"And what makes you think I have anything to do with it?"

"Everything." Johnny answers. Ten raises an eyebrow. "Why are you acting like this? You're starting to sound like you care about him." He claims. Johnny stays silent as there was no denying that.

"When did you become so weak, John?"

Johnny steps closer to Ten, causing him to step back. "Say it again. I don't think I heard you." He grabs Ten by the neck but remembers Karina is still there.

Karina clears her throat, "I'll be going now." She says before hurrying off.

Johnny let's go of Ten, pushing him to the floor.

"Get out of my sight. I don't want to see you right now."

Even at night, Rosé still wears her sunglasses. She sits on top of a hill with a bottle of beer and a newspaper titled 'Woman brutally murdered in her home after confessing to police she was a member of NCT.' She looks up at the building that was some miles away from her and smiles.

Rosé catches the throwing knife mid air in between her fingers. "What do you want?" She questions.

Jaehyun comes out from behind her. "What are you planning?" He questions.

"My pawn has outed herself on my commands. I have no use for her now since I've gotten everything I needed from her. She can die for all I care." Rosé explains to him.

"What are you doing here in Daejeon now?"

"You see that building all the way over there? It's the factory John owns. I'm going to watch it burn." She says, glancing at her watch.

A few seconds later the building explodes into pieces, Rosé hardly phased while Jaehyun turns around and covers his ears. It doesn't take long for the building to go up into flames as flying debris goes down.

"Jesus Christ, Rosé!" Jaehyun exclaims. He sighs, "What are you even planning now?"

"I'm no longer planning. I'm in the final phase of my plan." Rosé takes off her sunglasses, admiring the destruction she just caused.
