Masquerade 58
Doyoung knocks on Sicheng's door, a hand behind his back. Sicheng opens it with a bright smile on his face. "What are you hiding?" He asks, noticing the hand behind his back.
Doyoung carefully brings out a single perfect white lily. Sicheng stares at the lily. How strange it is that something as simple as a flower can hold so much meaning.
Sicheng takes it, staring at it for a second before setting it aside. They head downstairs but take a different path to avoid being seen by anyone.
Doyoung drives them into the city and takes Sicheng to the most gorgeous restaurant ever. They walk in together, hand in hand, their conversation flowing effortlessly. At the restaurant they share a candle lit dinner, their chemistry apparent.
Sicheng tilts his head, staring at Doyoung as he talks, his eyes almost glimmering. He doesn't regret going to Doyoung's villa, not one bit. He should feel bad, guilty even but he doesn't.
Sicheng feels rather content with his choices.
After a filling meal, they go out for some fresh air, walking under the starlit sky. Their hands are intertwined as they share stories, dreams, banter, and with each passing moment their connection grows deeper.
They find a quiet bench in a nearby park and sit down. They share a moment of comforting silence, listening to the distant hum of the city and the gentle rustling of leaves. Doyoung rests his head on Sicheng's shoulder, gazing at the sky.
Sicheng glances at him with a soft smile playing on his lips. Slowly, he raises his hand and gently brushes a strand of hair away from Doyoung's forehead.
Doyoung looks up, their gazes meeting. 'Hi." He smiles.
"Hi." Sicheng responds in a whisper. There's a spark there, no words needed because it's deeply felt.
"I'm glad you came with me." Doyoung says, his voice warm and sincere. He traces the back of Sicheng's hand. He lifts his head up, his eyes never leaving him.
"Me too." Sicheng turns his body to face Doyoung. "What now?" He asks.
"What do you mean?"
"What do we do now?"
"Anything. We have all the time in the world." Doyoung says as he leans in. Sicheng smiles just before closing the space between them. Doyoung's eyes flutter shut as his hand comes up to cup Sicheng's cheek.
It's not tentative or uncertain, It's a kiss of two people who find solace in each other.
As they pull apart, Doyoung rests his forehead against Sicheng's. They sit like that for a while, wrapped in each other's presence. "We should probably get back." Sicheng mentions.
Doyoung pouts, endearingly so. "I don't want to." he says, wanting to stay here. Sicheng gets up despite the older's protests, dragging him up to.
Nevertheless, they get back home. As they head towards the door and much to their dismay, the door opens. Sicheng's eyes widen but he calms down quite quickly as if it's just Taeyong.
Taeyong raises an eyebrow. Sicheng scratches his nape as he looks at the ground. This is totally not awkward.
"Um, where have you two been?" He questions.
"Out. . ."
Taeyong crosses his arms. "That's not the answer I was looking for. . .Just go through the back. People are still up." he suggests, putting a weird emphasis on "people" before going back inside.
