After a long drive to Gem's house, I got out and went to the garden where I met her.
Gem: "Glad you can make it, but before we head off, I have to get a few things first."
Bruce: "So we have to sneak in again? Because I have no problem with that."
As we crept through the back door, I can overhead Gem's parents arguing. Unfortunately, they're pretty near, and I hope they don't spot me. We quickly climed up the stairs and went into her room, and saw posters of some boy who is even on her screensaver roughly my age. He looks like a student from Christian school.
Bruce: "Who's that?" I said pointing to one of the posters.
Gem: 'Oh" She said, blushing.
"That's Nomrad, my crush, and only you know this secret, and I trust you'll keep it." She said while smiling
Bruce: "Yeah sure. I promise I won't tell."
I said with a hint of jealously in my tone.
As she packs her belongings into her bag like her toothbrush, toothpaste, some clothes and her extra br......"
I quickly looked away and feeling embarrassed.
Gem: "What's wrong, Bruce?"
Bruce: "Nothing, I thought I heard a- a squirrel outside haha"
She smiled at me then continued packing.
Suddenly, we heard footsteps coming up, Crap, it's her parents, I guess they're taking the fight to the next level.
Gem: "Bruce, don't move a muscle."
Bruce: "I can't guarantee that."
Gem: "Ok, I don't think they are there"
Suddenly, the door bursted open,
Gem's parents: "GEM, DID WE HEAR ANOTHER GIRL HERE?"
Bruce (under the bed hiding): "What the hell? Another girl? I have a girly voice?"
Gem: "Nope, I'm just here...uhmm. practicing a fictional conversation which explains the two different voices. Haha. You know for school on Monday.
Gem's parents: "Ok, anyways we have business to deal with."
Last words before closing the door behind them.
I quickly rolled out and whispered in a soft voice "C'mon let's get out of here before they suspect something again."
I jumped out of the window first as Gem's parents were outside arguing again.
Then Gem jumped out and landed at me.
"Well, I guess this is awkward." I said while we are face to face with her lying on top of me.
Bruce: "Shall we go?"
Gem: "Totally"
I'm thinking that we are trying to shurg off that awkward moment when she landed on top of me when we jumped out. Yet sometime tells me no matter how hard we try, we can't.
A few minutes later, we arrived at my place.
We also sneaked up the stairs as it is 4:00 AM and no doubt everyone's asleep.
Bruce: "Ok, here is my room, Gem, you'll be sleeping on my bed....."
Gem: "What?!"
Bruce: "While I'll be sleeping on the floor" "Why?
Gem: "Oh I thought that we both are going to sle..."
Bruce: "Well anyways good night, Gem."
Gem: "Good night... roomie."
