The next morning, you slipped out of bed and made yourself a bowl of cereal. You sat down and turned on the news, to see what "Captain America" was up to.

"Good morning, America!" Cap said. You scoffed and rolled your eyes as he waved to the crowd. He sat down next to the interviewer.

"Thank you so much for coming," The interviewer said. "This has gotta be fun, though, coming back to your high school after so much as changed?"

"JOHN WALKER!" Someone yelled.

"So that's his name," You mumbled.

John chuckled and said "Oh, it's great. We're--oh!" He noticed everyone screaming and shouting and he waved and smiled. You rolled your eyes.

"Get rid of this man already," Bucky said, making you jump.

"Bucky!" You said.

"Sorry doll," He said. He stood in front of you, and kissed you on the head. He sat down next to you and pulled a blanket over himself.

"John, I think the first thing everyone wants to know is what is it like being Captain America?" the interviewer asked. "Do eagles fly overhead wherever you go?"

John laughed, making you wrinkle your nose.

"Uh, yes." He answered. The interviewer laughed and you set down your bowl, angry.

"Yeah, that," John continued. "And flags tend to start majestically waving in the wind."

"And how's the tour been?" The interviewer asked. "I know they did a big rollout for you, right?"

"It's the greatest honor of my life," John said.

"I bet," You snarled.

"Um, but I'm just a little shocked, I think. How did a guy like me end up here?" John said, than started laughing.

"Who the hell knows?" Bucky said. You leaned into Bucky as he wrapped the blanket over you. You tangled your legs into his and rested your head onto his chest.

"Oh, wait, wait, wait, 'a guy like me'?" The interviewer said. "Somebody's being a bit too humble."

"You think?" You said, scoffing.

"For those of you who aren't familiar with his résumé: 'John Walker, first person in American history to receive three Medals of Honor,'" She read. "'ran RS-One missions in counter terrorism and hostage rescue.' The government did a study of your body at MIT, and you tested off the charts in every measurable category. Speed, endurance, intelligency--"

"Look," John interrupted. "Here's the thing, uh, I'm not Tony Stark."

"Get Tony's name, out of your mouth," You growled. Bucky stroked your hair with one hand, and used his metal hand to rest on the back of your neck.

"I'm not Dr. Banner, okay?" You winced at hearing his name. "I don't have the flashiest gadgets, I don't have super strength. But what I do have, is guts. Something Captain America always had."

"And what do you know about him?" Bucky said, tightening his grip on your neck.

You adjusted yourself and he loosened up.

"Something he always had, always needs to have, and I'm just gonna need every ounce of it," John continued. "Because I got big shoes to fill."
