The cold wind blew,

With an overcast sky.

On this first day of April,

We let the hooks fly.

The water was cold.

The ripples were high.

The wind made our bobbers sail -

Like the birds in the sky.

We had a nibble or two, nothing more -

For us, that is, eating Cheetos with Cokes.

Still, we had a great time - sitt'n in the truck.

Telling stories of fish and swapping old jokes.

Dorothy - the determined one -

Endured the cold wind.

As if giv'n up with no fish

Was a terrible sin.

Well, it looks like she's

Finally admitting defeat.

No, just another cast ...

She has to have - very cold feet.

Wait!! Harry yelled, Look!!

Mom's caught a huge speckled trout!!

Ha Ha - I got you.

April Fools!! Was his shout.
