When will the angels
Come for me?
When will all wars
Cease to be?
When will kindness rule
And hate is no more
When will life be simple?
As it was once before.
I asked these questions
To the Polar Star.
But no answers
Came from afar.
I asked the moon
When will love find me?
Sweep me off my feet.
But it answered not my plea.
Discouraged, I asked the rainbow.
When will they find a cure for cancer?
That took my best friend away.
Alas, again no answer.
I suppose that I'm not worthy
To warrant a reply.
Or they don't have the answers
And they just don't wish to lie.
