you looked over at ningning and smiled to yourself. your eyes trailed from her eyes, down to her cheeks that is puffed up and finally down to the corner of her lips that were slightly rising up as she looks down at her phone.

pushing feelings back in your head, you look elsewhere as to not get caught staring at her. she was beautiful, perfect, amazing and breathtaking. you have the biggest crush on her, you want her to only love and look at you as you hug her. you want her to think of you everytime she opens her eyes in the morning and think of you right before she falls asleep.

but wouldn't that make you a trashy friend for wishing something like that? ningning is you bestfriend's girlfriend after all. what would your friend feel like if he finds out you're thinking such things about his girl? right.

she looked up from her phone to look at you, your eyes busy trying to find something else to focus on instead of ningning's well sculpted face.

"come on party pooper, lets go to the karaoke next!" ningning exclaimed.

"ning, you should go home." you shook your head refusing. she sighed then looked at the time.

"i guess you're right" she sighed as she tighten her grip on her handbag and put her phone in as you smiled.

"go get in my car, i just need to pay" you said as she nodded and walked out to your car. you watched her from inside then smiled and turned around and looked at the bartender and took out your wallet and paid.

"have a nice night" the bartender smiled at you as you thanked them and walked out of the restaurant and over to your car.

you got in the drivers seat and smiled at ningning, but your smile dropped when you saw her smiling at her phone texting someone. heart emojis filling in the chats she sent.

"i hope you had fun, it's been a while since we hanged" you said as you started the car then checked the side mirrors and pulled out of the parking lot then drove her home.

"i had a lot of fun, thank you y/n. i missed the times where we went out and partied all night" ningning pouted, as she recalled the times the both of you would spend time every second you guys had the chance to.

you smiled as you looked at ningning who had her eyes on the road as she sat on the passenger seat. you felt your eyes stinging as tears were threatening to fall down and roll down your cheeks. you then replaced your eyes to the road.

"ningning" you bit your inner cheeks, emotions washing over your thoughts.

"i-i love, no, i like you a lot." you flushed at your words. you never expected them to come out of your mouth as you looked over at ningning as her eyes widened.

"what?" you shook your head, and let out a chuckle.

"nothing, sorry" she nodded to herself. you parked in front of her place, feeling sad at the fact that when she opens the door to her house she will be greeted by her significant other.

"ning" you called as you spread your arms wide, asking for a hug. ningning looked at you in confusion.

"hug me? just for a few seconds" you said as she looked at you, worriedly.

"i dont mind if its only for 2 seconds, before you run off to him" you mumbled the last part. she nodded then got out of the car and you got out after. both of you walking to the front of the car and wrapping your arms around her as she did the same. you smiled to yourself. her embrace was warm and peaceful, just like you expected. you really didn't want to let go.

you pulled away and looked at her with tears in your eyes, it's been 6 months since she dated your bestfriend and it has also been 6 months since you cried every night.

if only you were fast enough to walk up to her and blurt out the three simple words maybe tonight would not exist? maybe you would not be sending her to her shared house with her boyfriend.

"you should go in, he's waiting for you"
