summary ; you finally found out the reason to why winter have been ignoring you, but it's all too late.

tiny specks of dust seemed to dance in the shaft of afternoon sunlight that slanted through the window. your eyes followed the small specks of dusts that were floating around the class, your gaze laid on the back of your best friend's head who was sitting in front of you. kim minjeong, the girl who you would always look for whenever you're feeling any sorts of emotions.

when you're happy, the first person you would run to is her. telling her every single thing that makes you happy and why it does. when you're mad you'd call her to rant as she listen while laughing at how furious you sound, and when you're sad she'd always be the first person you'd run to. vice versa.

but these past 2 weeks, she had been distancing herself from you and for the first few days, you were confused and clueless. you thought she might've been busy with school works so you sometimes would ring her bell, only to be met with her mom saying that she's busy. it kept on happening, and her excuses changes every day.

you did not give up. yet, you still walk to her house every morning to go to school with her, only to find out that she has left earlier leaving you walking alone to school.

5 minutes before the class ends, she would slowly start packing her stuffs up so that as soon as the bell rang, she could immediately leave the class without you stopping her. it hurts your heart, to see the girl you care about the most suddenly being like this.

you tried talking to her during recess or even in the hallway but she'd just keep a straight face and disappear from your sight. it has drained your energy, making you eventually slow down your efforts and give up.

today, you're not going to let that happen and actually have a talk with her asking her every questions you have in mind right now. why she's avoiding you so suddenly and why she looks so sad and mad at you.

"kim minjeong" you called her when you saw her walking towards the door, you swung your backpack onto your shoulder and called her once again, your voice louder than before catching the attention of the students in the class.

her footstep grew faster as you keep on calling her, for some reason you seem to not be able to catch up to her and you could never match her pace. the school exit was crowded and you immediately lost her in the crowd. there were too many girls that have the same hair colour as her and the only thing you could use to search for and differentiate her from the other students right now is her bagpack. but still, you cant find her.

you squeezed yourself through the crowd, as you made your way out, minjeong was nowhere to be found making you huff in frustration. you look around the school once again in hope of finding her but, nothing.

you slipped your hand in your pocket, fishing your phone out as you unlock your phone in a rush. you tap on minjeong's name and called her only to be greeted by a monotone voice on the other line.

"fuck!" you mumbled under your breath, growing frustrated as you decided to just wait for her at her house. you dragged your feet lazily, your eyes glued on your phone screen texting minjeong the same thing again and again though you know she's going to leave you on read, you didn't give up.

"im going to your house minjeong, i cant live with you avoiding me like this" you typed and pressed send.

'read'  you let out a sigh, the same shit again.

'typing..'  your eyes widen at the sight of the bold text, she's finally replying? you stopped walking as you were too immersed to look at what she's going to say. a sigh escaped your mouth when the 'typing' went back to 'read'
