karina | a friend of yours

being giselle's best friend had so many pros, and cons. but one of the biggest cons (?) was karina. karina is giselle's housemate. mainly, that means that you and karina  would often meet each other when you come over to giselle's house to hangout or do your reports together at their house.

karina wasn't usually present whenever you're around but you do notice she would come out of her room from time to time to grab snacks and chill in the kitchen or even cook some ramen before disappearing back again into her room.

on a good day, the both of you would share a word or two, sometimes even engaging in a long, natural conversation that always got interrupted by giselle who would either call you to ask you a question or to ask you for help about her report which results to you and karina conversation ending abruptly.

but most importantly, you had a massive MASSIVE crush on her. everytime you hear the bell on her doorknob ringing, you would immediately find an excuse to go to the kitchen. acting shocked when you turn around to find karina in the kitchen with you is a routine for you now. you enjoyed those little talk with her and how your hand would brush hers slightly when you pass her a mug.

today was another day of you hanging out with giselle. she invited you to sleep over which you turned down at first. sleeping at a girls' house was the last thing you could imagine doing but look at where you are right now. in the living room waiting for giselle to finish her report so the both of you could chill at the backyard and admire the star together.

you were really into admiring the sky at night and when giselle proposed the idea, you immediately agreed to it. the backyard was aesthetically decorated, there was a  sofa in the backyard and pretty fairy lights.

you weren't informed that karina would also be joining the stargazing session but you're not the one to complain.

the three of you gathered in the backyard, you still haven't had a conversation with karina ever since you arrived. you didn't say much and was just looking at the stars, listening to what karina and giselle were talking about.

it's been around an hour and a half and at this point, giselle fell asleep, her head on your shoulder, to which karina proposed to wake giselle up and let her sleep first.

mostly everything had gone accordingly tonight. except, one little thing. karina was now the only one keeping you company. at 2am, just the two of you out in the backyard with some slow songs playing in the background.

"are you not going to say anything" karina smiles, turning her head to your direction standing up as she picks her blanket, now moving to the seat giselle sat on before. now seating exactly next to you and very close to you.

"relax, it's just me" karina said, exactly, it's just her. she is the problem right now. the fact that the two of you are alone, together is making your heart feel restless.

"right" you sigh, attempting to relax your body before turning your gaze from karina to whatever was in front of you.

"you know?" she starts. wrapping her arms around her legs, bringing her knees close to her chest.

"sometimes i think you don't like me being around you and aeri" she said.

"what?" you turn to her, eyebrows furrowed

"why?"

"well. aside from the small interaction we always have in the kitchen, i feel like you're intimidating" karina said turning to you, her eyes glowing under the moonlight taking your breath away

"hm that's not true" yes it is. you turn to your front again, staring at the grass

"i thought the same thing though" you chuckled as you turn to look at karina who's eyes are wide
