aespa reaction | arguing with their s/o (winter)

tears threatened to fall from winter's eyes as she looks at you with her lips pressed into a straight line, her brows frowning with sadness.

"let's not do this here, love" you grabbed her hand, which she quickly swat away. you let out a frustrated sigh before turning around to ask the other girls for space which they quickly understood and left the both of you alone in the house.

today marks you and winter's second year's anniversary which you have completely forgot due to your work occupying your mind these past few days. winter had prepared a party for the anniversary, cooking and even decorating her house's living room prior to the celebration. she even wore her most expensive dress which you had bought for her especially for today.

but everything is ruined when you walked through the door with pure confusion smeared on your face, dressed in your working clothes and what made it worse is when you asked the other girls what they were doing here. you had no clue that today marks you and winter's second year together until you saw the balloons stuck on the wall.

"you forgot our anniversary?"

you kept quiet as guilt fills your whole body, work have been crazy for you for these past few days. everytime you wake up, you don't even know what day is it.

"i'm so sorry, i've been so caught up in my job" you couldn't look at her due to being ashamed of yourself

"yeah, work is more important to you i know" she said nodding slowly, her hand moved to the back of her neck taking off her necklace.

"don't say that, you mean the most to me. it's just that— i'm so sorry i've been so busy. i promise you this won't happen again" you walk up to her and gently held her busy hands trying to stop her from taking off the necklace, she looks so pretty with it.

"you said that on my group's first anniversary"

you inhaled, and slowly exhale trying to suppress your anger. you and winter had a massive fight over this and it wasn't the best memories of you and winter. the both of you promised to leave the incident behind after talking about it. but, seeing winter bringing it up again in an argument angers you in a way.

"really? you have every right to be mad, but we agreed to leave that one behind!" you accidentally raised your voice in frustration.

"it's because you never change! you always try to calm me with empty promises but never try to actually change, i've had enough of it!" she pushed you away, causing you to stumble as you accidentally stepped on one of the decorations.

"i'm trying! gosh minjeong!" the way her real name roll out of your mouth so naturally sent chills to her spine.

"well try harder because i don't see a single fucking change in your actions!" she yelled as she slam the necklace to the floor. she turned around and stomped her way to tear down all the decorations that she had prepared for the party.

"a fucking fight on our second anniversary, what a great day!" she mumbled under her breath loud enough for you to hear. but you didn't mind that, you were too stunned from what she had said before. the way she dismissed your efforts was very heartbreaking to you.

"why would you say that" your voice shook, which made winter turn around. the way she turned rather quickly made it obvious that she knew she went too far.

"don't ever say anything like that again" you bit your bottom lip supressing the tears that were threatening to fall. winter went silent, knowing she went too far. winter knew you're dealing with something mentally, and that you're trying to change your bad points for her. but to see her bringing it up during an argument just to win, disappointed you.

"im staying at my friend's house" you turned your back against her as you walk towards the door.
