karina | hurt

both of your faces were stained with tears, karina standing across of you with her fist balled up supressing her anger as she looks at you. the both of you did not want this fight to continue but then again neither one of you wanted to cave in and stop arguing while prickling each other's feeling with harsh words. you did not know how a small argument turned into a big fight. maybe the stress the both of you have been holding in for the past few days has gotten to both you and karina's head.

it all started when karina has just gotten home from practice, karina arrived home and was greeted by the sight of a couple of plates in the sink that are still havent been washed since last night. you had forgotten the promise you made with karina to clean them today plus you haven't been able to do anything the whole day as you were busy finishing your works and attending zoom meetings. 

usually this wouldn't have angered her this much and she would've just let it slide but all the anger and stress that has been piling up these past week made her explode causing her to lash out her angers on you. but you were not going to let her win the argument this time, you also exploded and lashed out your anger on her making the argument become more heated as neither one of you wanted to step down from the fight.

"why are you being so inconsiderate? it's not like i purposely do it. i forgot karina! and i have been busy with work" you huffed in frustration

"you always say you 'forgot'. i am so tired of that excuse now" your girlfriend snorted angrily making you furious with her statement. what does she mean by being tired of that excuse? it wasnt even an excuse and why is she wording it like you havent been washing the dishes or even help her with the chores?

"oh my god,  i've had a hell of a day you are just making things worse karina! im not going to argue with you anymore" you stood up and aggresively slam your laptop close. making karina look at you in disbelief. 

the fight is draining you mentally and physically, you just wanted to go to sleep. you just wanted her to understand that you have been busy too and that you did not just make up a stupid excuse and that you are actually busy. 

"you're so childish! im so tired of talking to you!" karina blurted out making you stop in track, you turn to look at her in disbelief as you run your hand through your hair. 

"if you're so tired of me and if im so childish then why don't you just leave me-" before you could finish your sentence you felt your head being whipped aggresively and a loud slap was heard followed by a stinging sensation on your left cheek.

startled, you held your cheek as you look at your girlfriend, feeling your eyes stinging from the tears that are starting to form in your eyes. karina stared at her hand, perplexed at how she reacted when you suggested her to leave you. her whole body froze as she stare at her palm that was slightly red from the slap she gave you

she was in shock, you are speechless. never have you thought your girlfriend would ever slap you, and judging by how frozen karina is right now, she also did not expect herself to react like that. her eyes wide open as she look at her hand.

"really karina? is this how we're going to solve problems?" your voice cracked as you held in your tears. karina immediately lunging forward to grab you by your arm only to be stopped by you harshly whacking her hand off your arm. 

"get off of me." you took a couple of steps backward, karina shook her head hoping that you'd understand that she did not mean to hit you. tears rolled down her cheeks as she went silent, she knew she fucked up by slapping you and she knew your trust towards her are slowly falling apart so as your relationship with her. you softly whimpered as tears fell to the ground.

'"baby, i-im so sorry i didn't mean to" she sniffled as she wiped her tears away. you walk pass her huffing as you grab your phone and keys before sprinting out the house, slamming the door. her knees grew weak making her fall to the ground crying. 

karina wanted to stop you but she knew you needed some time alone and that you didnt want to look at her face for the time being. she silently cry in the living room as she waited for you to come back. 

she had no clue if you're ever going to come back to her with open arms again, after breaking your trust by using violence she knew it's going to be hard for you to build up your trust for her again. but one thing she knows for sure is that, your relationship wouldnt be the same again after tonight.
