"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm glad it was you I bumped into instead of someone who might actually beat me up." Auburn laughs as she stands up straight, brushing off her shirt that was super low cut, leaving nothing up to imagination.

"It's all good." Is all I mange to say before Auburn's boyfriend, Mark, came up behind her, pulling her right into his chest.

"Hey man what's up?" Mark asks as he turns his eyes in my direction.

"Nothing much. Just came to look for a drink." I say as I motion to the island littered with alcohol bottles.

From what I knew about Mark, he is a shit excuse for a boyfriend. I couldn't even tell you how many times I heard Tae complaining about him for cheating on Auburn or just treating her like shit.

I didn't like the guy but at the same time, I had no reason to not talk to him. It's not like I had any other reason to hate him besides for hurting my best friend's little sister. Which even then, doesn't make much sense.

I wouldn't say I necessarily had a crush on Auburn but I definitely didn't dislike her...it was hard to tell seeing as I've never actually had a full on conversation with her. I've based everything thus far on looks alone.

"Did you come here with the other guys? I've been meaning to say hey to Taehyung, you know, make him think I'm not a douche." Mark says and Auburn giggles slightly as she turns in his arms.

"You're not a douche, baby. He's always been an overprotective older brother is all." She says as she pecks his lips before she moves away, making her way over to Mel.

As the two of them get lost in conversation, I step away from Mark and look for what I wanted to drink.

Luckily, Mark doesn't try to make conversation so I'm able to slip away with a beer in hand.

After a bit of wandering around, I find the guys all messing around with this group of girls.

I wasn't sure why they were always so creepy and set on hitting on girls but I didn't take part in it.

I felt no need to look for girls. Especially considering none of them were as pretty as Auburn is. Obviously I know she's off limits and I don't even know her well enough to judge her, but still.

I couldn't help but to feel turned off at the idea of getting to know anyone but Auburn.

Truthfully, it sucked that she's Tae's sister and that she has a boyfriend. I feel like if things were different, possibly, we could make something happen there.

Although, I doubt Auburn even thought of me like that. I'm sure to her I was just one of her brother's annoying friends.

Shaking the thought, I take a seat near the guys and sip my drink as I watch them hopelessly flirt with some of the girls around us.

Don't get me wrong, they're all good looking guys but their game was non existent. Even though they didn't seem to think so and I wasn't gonna ruin that for them so I simply sat back and watched.

At some point I got sick of sitting there so I decide to wander around and get some fresh air.

Upon getting outside, I can hear two people arguing and me being somewhat nosy, I turned the corner to listen.

To my surprise, standing there practically screaming at each other, was Auburn and Mark.

"Just stop being a bitch, alright! I told you I didn't take her number. You're always so jealous and insecure, it's fucking annoying!" Mark yelled as he threw down his beer can and stormed off in the direction of his truck.

Auburn stood there with her head down, her long hair covering her face so I couldn't see it.

Once Mark was out of sight, Auburn lifted her head and that's when I saw her wipe a tear away.

Just as she went to walk away, I called out her name without thinking.

Auburn turned her head in my direction before she gave me a very sad smile.

I made my way over to her and the closer I got the more I could smell her perfume mixed with alcohol.

Her emerald eyes were glossy and the tip of her nose was a rosy red.

"Are you okay? I overheard what he said you definitely don't deserve to be talked to like that. No wonder Taehyung hates the guy." I say.

Auburn runs her tongue over her bottom lip before she pulls it between her teeth. I had to tear my eyes away.

"Do you think you can take me home? He was my ride." Auburn says, avoiding my previous question, and my eyes.

I looked back at the house then back to Auburn. I'm sure Taehyung and the guys would understand. Plus I only had half of one beer so I should be okay.

"Yeah, sure." I say and Auburn nods as she pushes a strand of hair behind her ear and wraps her arms around herself as she follows me to my car.

I could just drop her off real quick then come back and inform Taehyung of what happened. He definitely wouldn't be happy seeing as he already hates the guy.

The car ride back to her place, neither of us said a word. It was awkward, of course, seeing as we never usually spoke to another aside from the occasional hi when I'd pop up at her house for Tae.

When I pulled into the driveway, Auburn un-clicked her seatbelt but made no moves to get out of the car.

I glanced over at her for a moment before she finally spoke. "Can you maybe not tell my brother about this? He already doesn't like Mark and it's just...I don't want him to hate him anymore. Can we just keep this between us?"

Auburn doesn't look at me as she says this. I think she knew just as well as I did how stupid that sounded.

When I don't say anything, she opens the car door and slides out. Before she shuts the door, she leans her head down so that she can look at me.

"Thanks for the ride. Have a good night."

With that, she disappears into the house, leaving me with one question;

To tell Taehyung or not to tell Taehyung.
