BONDING {9}

"Dinner is ready!" Taehyung's mom calls out after a while and the three of us get out of the pool and head in to get dressed.

By time Tae and I get to the dining room, everyone is already seated, getting their plates ready. I take the empty seat in front of me that just so happened to be next to Auburn.

She was now wearing a pair of blue biker shorts and a black Nike pull over. Her long wet hair was pulled back by a clip so it wasn't falling into her face.

I reach for my plate, piling on lots of food. I was starving. We all made small talk as we ate. Auburn didn't really say much seeing as most of the questions directed at her were about Mark and why he wasn't there. I guess her parents didn't know much about it either.

Why would they? She doesn't want them to hate him like Tae does, like I do. He was a prick, probably the biggest asshole I've ever met.

I'm sure she was excited when dinner was over as she wasted no time in hurrying off to her room, locking herself in and avoiding everyone the rest of the night.

Once Tae's parents went to sleep, Tae and I played video games for a bit before Tae announced he was going to sleep.

I wasn't really tired just yet though since I slept a bit on the ride here so I stepped out to the livng room so I wouldn't bother him.

I grabbed a blanket and my phone and made my way to the couch where I flipped the tv on and wrapped myself up. It was a bit cold out here so the blanket was definitely needed.

As I was watching tv, I heard a door open and I assumed maybe it was Tae saying he couldn't fall asleep but instead, I was greeted with Auburn walking towards me.

She was still in the same clothes as earlier but now her hair was dry and down, falling over her shoulders and down past her chest.

When she sees me, she smiles. "Can't sleep?" She asks as she takes a seat on the same couch as me. Usually I wouldn't think anything of that, but there was a whole other couch and a reclining chair in the living room.

"Nope, you?" I ask, my mouth a bit dry. Being around her just made me feel on edge and nervous.

"Yeah I tried but it just wasn't happening. What are you watching?" She asks, tilting her head as she glances over at the screen.

"Parasyte. You've never seen it?" I ask, shocked, although I knew I shouldn't be. Auburn didn't strike me as the type to watch anime.

"Nope. I'll assume it's good though." She laughs as she leans back into the couch, getting comfortable.

I glanced over at her, taking in the fact that she was still wearing shorts, which meant she was probably cold seeing as I was freezing in my sweats.

When she sees me staring, her eyebrows raise. "What?" She asks and I shake my head. "Sorry, I just couldn't help but notice you're wearing shorts. It's freezing out here." I say. Right away, she nods. "Yeah I'm starting to see that now."

I think for a minute, wondering if what I wanted to say next was the right move but I thought, fuck it.

"Want under?" I ask, motioning to my blanket I had around me. Auburn looks a little taken back and hesitant by my question but after a moment, she finally nods.

I don't say anything as I readjust myself so that I can pull the blanket up and give her some.

Seeing as the blanket wasn't too long, she had to scoot closer but I could tell she was weary to do so. She left as much space between us as she possibly could while still being able to be under the blanket.

"Better?" I ask and Auburn smiles and nods. "Yeah, thanks." She turns her head back to the screen and I do too, trying to concentrate on the show and not on the fact I was under the same blanket with someone as hot as Auburn.

I could feel her body heat start to radiate off of her. It was taking every ounce of will power within me to not reach out and grab her or move closer to her. Cuddling with her would be amazing, I just knew it.

Shaking the thought away as best I could, I forced myself to focus on my show. That's what the two of us did for the next two plus hours.

"Wow this is great!" Auburn says, fully into the show now. "I told you. It's the best." I laugh as the episode ends.

By now, it was very very late and I was starting to get tired finally. Yet, I didn't want this little bonding moment with Auburn to end.

"Are you tired?" Auburn asks as if she can see it on my face. "Nope." I say but my lie is put to light as I yawn just as I say that.

Auburn laughs instantly, her nose scrunched up. My heart swooned at how cute she was. "Liar. Go to sleep." She laughs as she pushes my shoulder playfully.

I nod, knowing I couldn't fight that I could fall asleep at any moment no problem.

I stand, taking back my blanket just as Auburn hands me her side of it and stands too.

"Goodnight Jungkook. Thanks for the new obsession." Auburn smiles before she heads off in the direction of her room.

When her door shuts, I wrap my blanket around me tightly, catching a slight gust of whatever perfume Auburn had been wearing. Holy- fuck yeah.

This was definitely going to become my new favorite blanket. Easily.

After tonight's events I think it's finally safe to say, I like Auburn.

Fuck.

I like Auburn.
