Somehow I managed to make it into Auburn's room unnoticed and for all Tae knew, I was at home.
I felt bad lying to him but I knew he wouldn't like it if he found out the truth.
"So do you want me to sleep on the floor or?" I ask but Auburn laughs as she shakes her head. "Of course not. You're fine to sleep on the bed with me unless that'll make you uncomfortable."
A shiver ran up my spine at the thought of sharing a bed with Auburn. I was smiling like an idiot.
"Of course not. I'm okay with that." I say and Auburn nods as she heads towards her closet, slipping off her jacket and hanging it up on a hanger.
She had a bathroom connected to her room so she disappeared in there afterwards to change.
I slipped off my shoes and jacket as I set them down in the corner, making my way over to her bed and sitting on the edge as I waited for her to return.
After about five minutes, she came out of the bathroom wearing a blue tank top and a pair of black biker shorts.
"Left or right?" She asks as she motions to the bed. I look behind me and chose the obvious spot, the one closest to the wall.
We get under the covers and Auburn turns the light off, leaving us both in the dark.
"You'll have to leave early before Tae finds you, ya know." Auburn laughs from beside me. I nod even though she can't see me.
"Yeah definitely. He doesn't know about any of this and I know he'll be mad if he finds out this way before I can tell him." I say.
"Who cares either way. He's with Mel, he can't possibly get mad when we get together. He'd be a hypocrite." Auburn says with a slight scoff in her words.
She was right. He would be a hypocrite to get mad seeing as he was dating her best friend.
"I'll just make sure he doesn't find out just yet." I say and Auburn agrees. For the next hour or so we make small talk until we're too tired to stay awake, then we both fall asleep.
•••Waking up the next morning, I register where I'm at and instantly smile.
Auburn was sound asleep with her head rested on my chest, our legs intertwined.
As much as I didn't want to get up, I knew I had to before Tae woke up, if he wasn't up already.
I stirred, careful not to wake Auburn but that didn't work as she too woke up.
"I have to go. I'll see you later, alright?" I say as I stand up, slipping on my jacket and my shoes. I run a hand through my messy hair, brushing it out of my face.
Auburn makes her way over to me, looking like she had been up and ready. How was it possible for her to wake up looking this good?!
"Okay, text me when you get home." Auburn smiles as she leans into me, wrapping her arms around me.
I hug her back, pulling away after a moment so that I could kiss her. This was definitely something I could get use to.
Just as our lips met, she melted into me. I didn't even care if I had morning breath and I didn't care if she did either.
Hell, all I cared about was how amazing it felt to kiss the girl I'd been dreaming of kissing since I was like thirteen.
Our kiss was cut short as Auburn's bedroom door came flying open, causing us to pull apart quickly.
"What the fuck?!"
I froze at the voice, fear rising in the pit of my stomach. Oh no.
We both looked up just as Tae stopped speaking. Standing there in the doorway was a not so happy looking Taehyung.
Before I could speak, Tae spoke again. Saying the exact same thing, "What the fuck?!"
"Listen Tae, I-" but I didn't even get to finish my sentence as he cut me off.
"What the fuck are you doing here in my sisters room? Kissing her! What? How long?" Tae asked, his jaw clenched.
"We're not- It's not what it looks like." I say and Tae scoffs. "It looks like you're fucking kissing my sister. Not sure what else it could possibly look like. What the fuck man. I told you my sister was off limits to you guys and that I didn't want you dating her. How long have you two been hooking up?" Tae says, hurt in his words more then anger.
"We're not doing anything like that, it's not like that. Listen, Taehyung, let's just go talk about this." I sigh but he isn't having that.
"Just leave." He says, giving me a look that was anything but happy.
"Tae-" "Just fucking go!"
I sighed, knowing he wasn't in the mood to listen and I definitely wasn't going to keep trying if all he was going to do was cut me off and shut me down.
From beside me, Auburn stayed silent. I wasn't sure if she was just as shocked as I was or what, but she didn't say anything.
"I'll see you around." I say to her before I head out of the room, leaving the two of them alone.
I walk out of the house and down the block to my car. Once I'm inside I lean back into the seat with a sigh.
This wasn't how this was supposed to go but now it was too late. I knew I should have just told him when it was happening but I didn't and now I had to deal with it.
He was angry but in all honestly, he didn't have any right to be. Besides that I didn't tell him, he had no reason to be angry.
Auburn is his sister, I get it, but he has no right to tell us we can't date. He's dating her friend for fucks sake so what's so wrong with me dating her as his friend.
Sighing, I head home, knowing this was just the beginning of what was to come.
