A few weeks had passed and I could tell Auburn was slowly becoming not as phased by Mark's new girlfriend. That was definitely a good thing in my book because it meant she was finally moving on.
I was currently over at Tae's place but he seemed to glued to his phone to notice me. Ironically enough, after he invited me over.
"Should we do something, I'm bored." I sigh as I lean back in his bed, stretching my legs out.
"Yeah we can after I finish texting Mel." He says, grinning from ear to ear.
"How long will that take?" I ask, only to be shot down with a reply of "I don't know."
I huffed as I sat up, heading for the door. "I'm gonna go hang out with your sister if that's cool." I say but instead of a response, I get a thumbs up.
I make my way upstairs and towards Auburn's room. I stop right outside the door, running my fingers through my hair and straightening out my clothes before I knocked.
After a moment, she answered, smiling once she saw me. "Hey, what's up? Not hanging with my brother anymore?" She asks as she opens the door more for me to enter.
"He's too busy talking to Mel so I headed up here." I say as I walk into the center of the room. Auburn frowns. "So I'm your second choice then?"
"Of course not!" I say and Auburn laughs as she walks closer to me, poking my shoulder. "I'm only teasing. So what do you want to do then?"
I looked around the room before looking back towards Auburn. "Want to go into town? We can get some food and hang." Right away, she seemed to like that idea.
"Yeah that would be fun! Let me just grab a jacket and we can go!" I watch as she heads towards her closet, pulling out a black leather jacket and slinging it over her shoulders.
She then slipped on her shoes and turned to me. "Let's go have some fun!"

We ended up going to a little restaurant not to far from her house and then we decided to walk around the shops for a little bit."Window shopping is such a hit or miss. You see some great stuff but then you're just sad because you can't buy it." Auburn says and I laugh, agreeing.
Seeing as neither of us had great paying jobs, money definitely wasn't something we could just blow on whatever at the moment.
"We could afford this place though." I say as we pass by a shop that had a huge sign that said free samples.
"Oh yeah definitely." Auburn laughs as she bumps into my side but makes no attempts to move back.
I looked over at her as we walked, well, more so her hand. It was so close to me and poking out from her jacket sleeve just enough to see her finger tips.
As if she read my mind, she bumped her hand into mine. I thought maybe it was an accident until she did it a second time.
Neither of us said anything as I finally got the hint, taking her hand in mine. We kept walking but I could see a small smile forming on her face.
We decided to stop by some steps to take a break from all of the walking around. It was getting somewhat late now and I knew we'd need to be back soon but I didn't want this moment to end.
"Are you staying the night tonight or were you gonna head home?" Auburn asks as we take our seat on the steps.
"Probably head home. Unless you absolutely can't be apart from me and want me to stay over." I say and Auburn laughs as she shrugs. "I mean totally not what I meant but hey, whatever you say."
I stared at her for a moment, seeing the redness on her cheeks and tip of her nose from the cold. She looked so cute.
"I'm not sure it would make much of a difference though since I'd be in Tae's room." I say, watching as she turned her head up at me, not looking at me as she says quietly,
"Or mine."
My eyes widened slightly as I grinned. "Oh yeah?" Auburn's cheeks seemed to get darker. "Mhm."
My features softened as I leaned into Auburn's side, grabbing ahold of her hand once again.
Auburn looked down at our hands before she looked back at me. Her eyes fell from mine, to my lips. They lingered there after that.
"Jungkook?" She asks, not tearing her eyes away from my lips. I looked down at hers. "Yeah?"
"I think it's safe to say, I'm over that douchebag 110 percent. Now, can you please just kiss me already?"
That was all I needed to hear as I pressed my lips to Auburn's, not wasting a second.
The moment our lips met it was like fireworks exploded above our heads. I had imagined this moment for so long and now that it was finally happening I couldn't believe it.
Auburn's lips are so soft, softer then I'd ever imagined. I was in literal heaven right now.
When we pulled back, I saw Auburn smiling instantly. "That was, wow. I wish we had done that sooner." She says and right away, I agree.
"Oh me too. It was better then I imagined." I say and blush a bit at my own words. Auburn smiles as she leans into my side.
"We should probably get back now. Remember, you gotta stay the night with me." She winks as she stands, pulling me up with her.
I let her pull me along as we walk back towards her house. The whole walk there all I could think about was how amazing the kiss was and how incredibly happy I felt in this moment.
The only thing I was worried about now was how the hell I would make it into Auburn's room unnoticed by Tae.
