JUNGKOOK'S POV

The following day after school, I was getting ready for Auburn to come over.

She would be here any minute now and I wanted to make sure my room didn't look like a mess.

A knock on the door caught my attention as I made my way over, eager to see Auburn.

My smile quickly fell though as I opened the door to see Taehyung instead.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, not bothering to let him in. "I wanted to say I'm sorry. How I acted was fucked up and after what Auburn said to me, I realized I've been a shitty friend." Tae sighs.

I stared at him for a moment before I stepped aside, finally letting him in.

"I guess I was just so angry because you kept this from me. I get it now though, and I'm sorry. I should have been happy for you but instead I was being a dick. I hope you can forgive me." Taehyung says, his eyes full of sadness.

I sighed, knowing I couldn't stay mad at him. This definitely wasn't our first fight and I'm sure it wouldn't be our last either.

"I forgive you. Just don't act like that again man because what the fuck. I know I should have told you but still, you really have no reason to be upset. I like auburn, I really do. I'm not some asshole like Mark and besides, you've said it before, you'd rather her date me then Mark. Well guess what? That's finally going to happen so I'd like if you supported us." I say.

Tae nodded, giving me a smile. "Of course, yeah. You're right. You'll be good to her I know you will. I was just being over protective I guess. I just don't want to see her get hurt again."

"You won't, I can promise you that. I'll treat her right." I say and Tae smiles as he comes over to me, pulling me into a bone crushing hug.

"Good, or I'll kill you."

When he pulled away, I coughed, trying to regain the air into my lungs.

The sound of the doorbell went off, signaling Auburn for real this time.

"Now get out of here man. The girl of my dreams is here and I don't want you to ruin the mood." I say and Tae laughs as he nods, heading for the back door.

The last thing he says to me before he leaves is, "Good luck! Remember, if you hurt her, I'll kill you." All while he swipes his thumb across his throat and glares at me.

Once Tae is out of the house, I make my way to the front door and let Auburn in.

"My brother came to apologize, huh?" I laughed instantly. "How did you know that?" I ask and Auburn grins.

"The idiot parked right in the driveway. I saw him sneaking out your back door."

Typical Tae. Never thinking with his brain.

"So I take it you two made up?" Auburn then asks, a hopeful look in her eyes.

"Yeah, all is well." I say and she smiles, seeming to relax. "Good. I didn't like you two fighting. I'm just glad he came to his senses. I guess what I said really got to him."

"It sure did. Thank you for that." I say and Auburn smiles as she leans into me, wrapping her arms around my waist. "Of course, what are soon to be girlfriends for." She says and I can't help but to laugh at how cute she is.

My soon to be girlfriend indeed.

After hours of hanging out and catching up on more episodes of Parasyte, Auburn and I decided to lay out in the yard and look at the stars.

I hadn't done this since I was a kid but seeing how excited Auburn was to do this made me that much more excited.

"Look at that one!" Auburn beams as she points out a certain star in the sky.

"It's really beautiful." She grins as her eyes stay fixated on the sky. I smile, watching her eyes glowing. "Yeah, it is."

Auburn glanced over at me, watching me watching her instead of the sky. "How would you know you're not even looking at it." She laughs.

"I'm looking at something even more beautiful." I say and she blushes, making me smile even more.

"Can I ask you something?" Auburn then says, a smile on her face. "Yeah, of course."I say. "Why me? I know there's so many other girls you could be with instead. I was so sure you only saw me as your best friends little sister. I never would have imagined we'd be here now."

"Sure but none of them are you. I've known you pretty much my whole life and ever since the first day I saw you I just knew. Of course I just recently started liking you legitimately seeing as I never really got to speak to you before. I don't know, there's just something about you, Auburn. I can't wait to get to see even more sides of you I haven't yet."

Auburn smiled as she moved over so that her head was on my chest. I grabbed ahold of her hand, bringing it up to my lips and kissing it.

"Auburn." I start, looking down at the top of her head. "Hmm?"

I smiled as I ran my thumb over the back of her hand.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Right away, Auburn moved up to look at me, her green eyes twinkling. "Of course I will!"

She wasted no time in kissing me and hell, I wasn't complaining. Now that she was my girlfriend she could kiss me anytime she wanted and I'd happily kiss back.

When she pulled away, she gave me the biggest smile I had ever seen. "I thought you'd never ask." She laughed and I do too as I go to peck her lips again.

When we pull back, I take her hand and help her up. "Now let's go back inside and watch more Parasyte." I say and right away, she grins.

"I'd love to."
