It was a couple hours after the cafeteria incident, and I was walking outside of the school, 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' still playing on my walkman. I still had my cheerleading outfit on and I had my hands in my jacket pockets.

"Where are you Chrissy?" I mumbled to myself.

I continued to walk before I heard a voice next to me.

"So screw it! Screw High school!" It was a boy I knew as Dustin Henderson, a member of Eddie's 'Hellfire' club.

"You stay here, keep looking for a replacement, trust me on this!"

The boy ran away, leaving the other scrawny boy stood there by himself. He shook his head and turned around, noticing me behind him.

"Oh hey! Florence, right?" he asked, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Uh, yeah? what's up?" I asked with a smile, taking off my headphones.

"Hey, Can I ask you something? I know we haven't really talked all that much, except for that one time I kinda ran into you," he spluttered as I smiled in response.

"But I'm pretty sure you know Eddie, and you know Lucas right? He kinda backed out of our D&D campaign. It's kind of like an adventure, fantasy kind of game. Eddie takes it pretty seriously you know? Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to replace him this one time?"

I thought for a bit, "With Eddie? I'd rather not," I stated blatantly.

"C'mon, please? I know Eddie can be a bit... you know?, but he's a pretty cool guy," he pleaded.

"I'm a cheerleader, can't you see?" I laughed.

He seemed to accept my refusal, nodding his head.
But I then thought about the championship game tonight. Who cares if I didn't go? None of those pricks needed me there anyway, and I'd rather not have to face Andy, Jason, or Chance again. Screw it.

"Actually... Mike? right?" I questioned, in which he nodded in response.

"Why not? I'll join your campaign or whatever you call it."

He smiled, thanking me, while trying to act cool at the same time.

"But you'll have to teach me, I've never played it before," I stated.

"Of course, we can teach you on the way there, it's pretty simple, you don't have to do that much, just show up," he smiled, scratching the back of his neck.
"Cool, meet us around here at the same time as the champion ship game, you better be there!" Mike said, waving and walking into the distance.

I shook my head, not sure if I regret my decision of accepting his offer. I look over my shoulder, seeing a particular curly pony-tail with a green bow, a pink backpack and a cheerleader uniform. Chrissy.

"Hey, Chris!" I called for the girl as she continued to walk, clearly not hearing me.

She continued to walk pass the crowd of students and towards the forest of trees next to the school. I squinted in the distance to where she was walking.
Weird.

I decided not to follow her as I turned back around, leaving it alone before walking back into the school.
