It was extremely busy. Several cars were entering and exiting the parking lot while people continuously entered the facility.
"Damn... why's it so busy?" I questioned, peeking out of the window as we drove around the back, out of sight from the large group of people.
"No idea, but we better get in and out of here fast," Nancy said.
"So, who's coming in?" Steve asked, scanning the trailer. "Obviously not you man," he said, signalling towards Eddie. "But we can't leave him here alone, so who's staying here with the wanted criminal?"
"No way," Erica said feistily, her arms crossed. "I'm coming in."
"Great," Steve smiled sarcastically. "So any volunteers?"
"I say Florence stays here with him," Dustin suggested, his eyes shifting between Eddie and I.
"Uh, no. I say Dustin stays here and looks after him," I said with a sly grin before patting Eddie on the shoulder, "I've already done enough of that."
Eddie gave me an offended look as Nancy began to speak, "Yeah, I agree, Dustin you stay here. You too, Lucas."
Lucas began to argue but gave up as Nancy exited the vehicle, followed by Steve and Robin. Lucas looked at Erica with an annoyed face as she left, Dustin and Eddie giving me the same look as I began to leave, shrugging with a smile before I hopped out.
We walked swiftly around the corner, weaving through the people as they scurried in and out of the shop. We pushed the glass door open, walking a little before coming to a halt. I observed the store, it was full to the brim, banners hanging from the roof everywhere with various labels, 'Knives', 'Survival', 'Tents', etc.
"So much for avoiding angry hicks," Robin stated, looking around at packed store, which was, in fact, full of angry hicks.
"Let's be... fast," Nancy said.
"Yep."
"Definitely."
We all wandered into different sections of the store, walking past the various isles. I eventually found myself next to Steve after a couple minutes of wandering. He was scanning the different jackets, taking Eddie's denim vest off and putting a new one on.
"Quite the upgrade you got there," I said, my eyes averting to Eddie's denim vest hanging on the rack.
"Yeah, had enough of that scabby thing," he joked, signalling towards the vest.
"I dunno, I think it's pretty stylish. Very... Metal," I mocked, putting the vest on. It was dirty and had a couple of blood stains here and there and was clearly too big on me.
"Suit yourself," he said before turning the corner, and I followed, meeting Robin as she stocked the cart with bottles of gasoline.
"How many of these do you think we need?" She asked as she put one in the cart.
"Like, five or six," Steve replied.
I began to help them and placed some in the cart, Robin immediately getting distracted at something a few metres away.
I looked up at her confused, trying to look at what she was looking at. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary as I scanned the area. All I could see was a large American flag, guns and a few people looking through the shelves. Steve noticed too, stopping what he was doing and looking in the same direction and back at Robin again. I furrowed my eyebrows, "What's up?"
