The group followed Eddie outside of Max's home cautiously, signalling for us to follow as he peeked around the corner with the tacky Micheal Myers mask that Max lent him. We looked as if we were in some sort of crappy spy movie as we hid behind him, following him as soon as he began to move again. He weaved around a bush, waving his hand frantically, the rest of us following behind swiftly.
We approached a group of residents outside of a trailer, unaware of the large group of kids running f behind them frantically. Eddie ran around the back, making his way to the back window, sliding it open before jumping inside face-first. I followed behind him, internally questioning what we were doing, but I decided against saying anything about it.
Eddie grunted as he landed, ripping off the Micheal Myers mask. "That was suffocating."
I landed on the seat right behind him, followed by Steve and the rest. I noticed him making his way to the front of the trailer. He picked up a pair of pliers, putting them in his mouth as he reached for something, pulling out a bunch of wires. I followed behind him, sitting down in the passenger seat as I watched him intently.
Steve noticed us, following behind and leaning over the back of Eddie's chair, pulling a questioned face as he watched the long-haired boy at work. He began to cut the wires one-by-one with the pliers and I watched in silence, sharing the same confused look as Steve.
"Where'd you learn how to do this?" Steve asked leaning in closer to see what Eddie was doing.
"Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids now to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire," Eddie spoke whilst in full concentration. "Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto... So, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name," he said with a self-pitiful smile.
"Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving," Robin chimed in suddenly from behind Steve.
"Oh, I'm just starting this sucker. Harrington's got her. Don't y'a, big boy?" Eddie teased as he leant in closer towards Steve.
We furrowed our eyebrows slightly at him in response as the end of the wires caused a spark, the engine immediately starting up, the whole vehicle rumbling underneath us.
"Whoa," I muttered as Eddie grinned proudly.
Just seconds later, we began to hear angry voices outside of the vehicle, the man outside the window next to me causing me to jump. "Hey! Open this door!"
They began to bang their fists on the window and I immediately jumped from the passenger seat and stood next to Robin.
"They locked the door!" The middle aged pair yelled.
"Shi- Shit! Go!" Steve panicked before jumping into the front seat as Eddie scurried out of it. "It's just a car... Everybody, hang on to something!" He yelled forcefully.
The rest of us frantically moved around in attempts to find something to hold onto, "Drive, Steve! Drive!" Dustin ordered from the back of the trailer.
"Go, go, go!" Robin said, panic in her voice as Steve stepped on the engine, the vehicle taking off through the trailer park.
I held onto a seat as I looked out of the window next to me, holding in my laughter as the man fell flat on his face.
"Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!" Lucas yelled.
"Shit, they look pissed!" Dustin exclaimed.
"I mean it's not every day you lose your house and car in one fell swoop!" Robin said as the trailer bumped up and down through the bumpy grass.
