steve harrington was the best older brother you could ask for. he was caring, he covered for you when you'd occasionally disappear for a night or two, and he even let you hang out with some of his friends sometimes. except for one.

eddie munson was the exception to the leniency steve displayed with you and his friends. although steve was rather close with him, he didn't want you anywhere near him. this was possibly due to the fact that eddie had been very honest with steve about how he found you insanely attractive. wether it was a whistle at school as you passed him in the hallway, or just straight up hitting on you in front of steve. you thought it was a little odd at first, but you'd grown to find eddie charming. you were beginning to reciprocate the boys interest.

but steve did not approve of this. at all. he did everything in his power to limit you and eddie's interactions. he kept a close eye on you at school and tried to keep eddie in his line of sight as much as he could.

but of course, steve doesn't see everything. he doesn't see the smiles you flash each other in the halls or the playful notes that have been left in your locker every so often. but as far as steve could tell, his protectiveness was paying off. and in a way he was right, i mean, you and eddie had never even come close enough to feel each others breathing, right?

it was a saturday night in the harrington household. your parents were out on a date night and steve was working a later shift at the video store than normal, so that just left you in the home, attempting to read the book your literature teacher had assigned, but it was no use. you really weren't much of a reader.

you threw your head back onto the pillows that lined your bead and exhaled in boredom. you set the book aside and began wondering around your room, attempting to find literally anything else to do. and to no avail, there wasn't, until the doorbell rang.

you furrowed your eyebrows and looked at the clock on your nightstand. 8:34pm. steve doesn't get off until nine. you shrugged and walked out of your room. you crept down the stairs to the front door and pulled it open slowly, eyes going wide for a split second when you realized who was standing on your front porch.

"well, well, well. y/n harrington. shouldn't you be out partying or something?" he said with a smirk on his face. he wasn't expecting you to greet him at the door but he certainly wasn't complaining.

"nice to see you too, eddie." you replied, giving him a partially sarcastic smile, to which he returned.

"alright sweetheart, where's steve at? my vans running low on fuel and if he wants to make this movie on time-"

"steve doesn't get off work until nine tonight." you cut him off mid sentence, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion. eddie tilted his head, also baring a confused look.

"hm. could've sworn he said eight... well, looks like we've got some time to spare then!" he said, raising his eyebrows and making his way through the front door.

"yes, please come in, make yourself at home!" you sarcastically said under your breath, yet loud enough for eddie to hear.

"you know, i've always wondered what y/n harrington's room looked like." eddie smirked, moving past you and up the stairs. you followed quickly behind him in an effort to prevent him from stepping foot in there. you hadn't cleaned it in a few days and it definitely was not ready for company.

"no, no, no eddie. it's dirty! please don't." you pleaded, but it was too late. eddie stood in the middle of your room, glancing at all the little trinkets scattered around.

"definitely was not expecting the pink walls, but the rest... the rest definitely makes sense." he remarked, gesturing to the light pink wallpaper that had lined your walls since the seventh grade.

"and what is that supposed to mean?" you raised your eyebrows at him, taking the miniature ceramic angel from his hand and placing it back on your dresser.

"i mean this is pretty much how i imagined it." he shrugged, picking up another little ceramic animal from the dresser.

"and what are you imagining my room for, munson?" you smirked at him. you didn't really mean for it to come off in such a seductive tone, but it was always fun messing with him. you were now leaning with your back against the dresser while eddie stood next to you, arms folded, clearly dumbfounded by your obvious flirting. you could cut the tension with a knife.

eddie looked down at the ground and took a few steps closer to you. now you could definitely feel his breath on your skin. you look up at him, not breaking eye contact. he put both his hands on either side of you on the dresser behind you so he could lean forward and support his weight.

"don't flatter yourself, princess." he leaned close to your ear and whispered. he slowly moved his head away from your ear so he could see your face. your faces only an inch away from each other's.

"i won't." you whispered back, attempting to show no emotion. you didn't want to show him the effect he had on you just yet.

but you didn't have much of a choice when he leaned down and met your lips. it was slow at first. like he thought you were delicate and didn't want to scare you away.

you pulled away after a few seconds. you were actually surprised that he had finally kissed you. obviously you knew there was some kind of tension between you two but you never thought it would go anywhere.

"i'm sorry i-" he tried to apologized but you cut him off, placing your hands on either side of his face and crashing your lips back onto his with more force than before. this kiss was deeper, more passionate.

he moved his hands to grip your hips as you led him backwards to your bed, where he sat down on the edge and maneuvered you to straddle his lap, not daring to break the kiss the whole time. his grip on your sides hadn't loosened a bit.

the only sounds you could hear was the heavy breathing and saliva being exchanged. eddie's hands had made their way underneath your baggy t-shirt, moving his hands up and down your sides softly.

you had just flung his jean jacket across the room, leaving him in a plain black t-shirt, when your bedroom door started to open.

"hey y/n why is- HOLY SHIT MAN, THATS MY SISTER!" steve yelled once he realized what he had just witnessed.

you rolled off eddie and tossed him his jean jacket and immediately walked over to steve, who was dramatically covering his eyes with his hands in disgust. you took his wrists and slowly moved his hands down.

his eyes flickered between you and eddie, who had just gotten his jean jacket back on.

"what the hell is going on here? what are you even doing here, man?" steve questioned softly. his eyebrows might as well be permanently furrowed. eddie stayed silent, avoiding eye contact and rubbing his face with his hand in defeat.

"you, come with me. you, go to sleep, we'll deal with this tomorrow." steve said firmly, going all mom-mode. eddie followed steve out the door, shutting it behind him, not forgetting to shoot you a wink before closing it completely. you quickly turned around and looked at your clock.

9:18pm. damn it.
