"i replay that night in my head everyday," eddie said, shaking his head. robin and steve just stared at him, not even knowing what to say, "it's like- it's like i can remember it so vividly, and i can't even tell everyone that she saved us and-and that she's not some runaway like they all think. she's a fucking hero." he rambled, a tear falling down his cheek, finally making eye contact with the other two.

steve and robin nodded. they too remember every detail of your death. they remember the last words they said to you. the remember it all...

you, eddie, steve, nancy, and robin had finally made it to eddie's trailer, where dustin had told you guys he believed had a gate back to the normal world in it. the five of you cheered as you approached on your bikes after a vigorous eight miles.

"holy shit, man. if henderson led us all the way here for nothing i'm gonna rock his shit as soon as we get back." you said, breathing heavily. biking was certainly not your thing.

eddie turned and smiled at your joke.

suddenly, the shrieking of demobats was heard in the distance. the five of you shared a panicked look. you all threw down your bikes as eddie struggled to find the keys in his many pockets.

"shit, shit, shit." he mumbled, patting himself down, even checking the inside pockets. the shrieking was getting closer as you turned your head, noticing a swarm of the demobats coming down.

"fuck it." you remarked as you ran to the side of eddie's trailer, ripping an old piece of wood that lined the tin outside walls off. it had a sharp enough edge to make you confident you could kill these things with it. you ran back around the front to see that eddie had finally found the keys when the bats began their attack.

"shit!" you swung the wood at the first one, knocking it to the ground and stabbing it. you continued to knock them out of the air and kill them with the pure force of your strike. this acted as enough of a distraction for the rest of the group who had finally gotten the door of the trailer open and were rushing inside. everyone except eddie. but, you couldn't just stop, there were too many of them. they would have followed you into the trailer and you were determined not to put your friends at risk like that.

"y/n come on! get in the trailer!" eddie screamed, watching the scene unfold. there were too many of them coming from all directions and it began to get hard to keep up. you're arms we're getting tired and the loud shrieking was giving you a migraine. you stabbed one in mid air when you felt a sharp pain in your side. and another one in your other side.

you let out a loud grunt at the pain. you looked down to see two bats had impaled your sides with their claws and were gnawing at your raw flesh.

"y/n!" eddie screamed, steve had made his way to eddie, holding him back from trying to run towards you.

"c'mon man, we've got to get inside!" steve yelled over the shrieks.

"i'm not fucking leaving her! we have to help her!" he yelled back. he tried to fight against steve's right grip.

"eddie- go inside! please!" you managed to yell, groaning at the pain. you tried your best to get them off, smacking them with the wood still in your hands.

two more bats engraved their claws into your ankles, causing you to grunt again at the additional pain. you fell to the ground,
losing a hold of the wood.

"y/n!" eddie yelled, practically thrashing in steve's grip.

you squirmed, trying to get the bats off of you. but soon multiple bats flew down and attached them selves to your limbs. you were losing blood by the second.
