climbing through your window

you and eddie had been dating for around half a year now. six whole months.

and your parents had no idea.

your parents had always been very strict, and they only became more overbearing as tragedies began to seemingly curse hawkins. they had so many rules it became hard to keep track, but you never lost sight of the one you had been breaking.

absolutely NO boyfriends.

your father said you were too young and your mother said you won't meet the boy you're going to marry in high school. which she was honestly probably right about, but you never wanted to think about it that way.

you had been doing exceptionally well at following this rule, even though every guy at hawkins wanted to get with you. you'd never wanted to face your parents wrath and you never wanted to put a boy in that position, especially one you cared about. until you met him.

it was senior year and you and eddie had just been paired up for a semester-long project. throughout the semester, they boys soft spot for you continued to grow and you were seeing a side of him that he rarely even showed. a
side you fell in love with. it evoked some feeling
in you that you were the only person he could tolerate at this shitty school. from then on, the two of you had been going strong.

but there was no way in hell your parents would allow this. especially not with the president of the hellfire club who regularly wore a shirt with satans face on it. certainly not with the boy with a long curly mess of hair. no way. they wanted you to grow up and marry some guy like steve harrington, but he just wasn't your type. you needed rebellion in your life. you wanted to feel alive.

this is why when eddie would climb through your window on random nights, you got butterflies. he knew how much you needed a break sometimes. and tonight was no exception.

you sat at your desk, studying for a test you had coming up when the familiar sound of tapping on your window sounded. you turned your head towards your window, eyes meeting eddie's, giving him a soft smile. you walked over to your door and locked it, praying your parents wouldn't try to barge in. you then met an eager eddie, quietly pushing up on the window, opening it. he hobbled inside then rushed over, cupping your face and pressing a soft kiss to your lips.

"hi, sweetheart." he said in between soft kisses landing all over your face. you could only smile and let out a breathy laugh in return. he finally released you and walked over to your desk.

"so, what do we have here?" he asked, picking up one of the flashcards and furrowing his brows at it.

"studying for mrs. o'donnell's test," you replied, eddie looked at you confused, "c'mon, don't tell me you forgot. i really need you to graduate this year!" you said, playfully slapping him on the arm, taking the flashcards out of his hands and placing them back on your desk.

"i know, i know. i'm army crawling my way to a D in there." he joked. you softly smiled at him, sitting on your bed. eddie immediately made his way over to you, laying you on your back and towering over you, planting kisses along your jawline as your hands found his hair.

"my god, i've missed you." he sighed between kisses. he finally brought his lips up to yours and kissed you, his tongue begging for entrance, so you allowed it. your legs wrapped around his hips, pulling him closer. he started kissing down your neck, careful not to leave marks for fear of your parents.

"i hate that it has to be like this." you said softly looking down at him.

"like what, sweetheart?" he looked up at you concerned.

"i just wish you didn't have to crawl through my window every night. i want you to meet my parents and be able to take me out and come over when you please. hell, i even want to be able to go to your place for a change of scenery." you rambled, still taking in all the features of his face, combing through bits of his hair with your hand. he sighed and pursed his lips, moving some hair out of your face before responding.

"i wouldn't have it any other way if it means i get to be with you. and climbing through your window has to be one of my favorite parts. it's part of the thrill, ya know?" he said smirking. you smiled at his reassurance. he really did want to stick this out with you. you know once the two of you graduate, things will be different. you'll get to go to college and eddie will follow wherever you go, never wanting to be away from you, like you've been forced to be, ever again. until then, you would just have to wait.

"i love you." you said softly, before closing the gap between the two of you in a passionate but slow kiss.

"i love you more." he whispered between kisses.

that night made you more confident in your relationship than ever.

you couldn't wait till the day you could say 'f you' to your parents and walk out holding his hand.
