Thirteen

Bella went to the Rez to learn more about the shifters. Tori still wouldn't leave the house as she still was in pain. "How's Tori?" Billy asked.

"Pregnant and in a lot of pain."

"Her and Edward..." Sam looked at Billy. "Bella, I think it's time to tell you what is going on."  Bella nodded. "Bella, Tori is the last of something special to the cold ones."

"What do you mean 'special'?"

"Long ago, there was a human who turned to be with her soulmate. They couldn't be apart till one day, he went hunting and a nomad killed her. He felt every pain she went through. By the time he finally got back, her body was no more."

"What happened?"

"He died that night." Billy tells her.

"You see, Bella. We were watching Tori because we realized that she was a soulmate. A soulmate to Edward Cullen." Sam says. "Her carrying his child is a part of their special bond, but with him gone, Tori and Edward will soon die due to distance. Something I don't think you want to happen."

"I can't lose my little sister. She's means a lot to me."

"You sure showed it." Paul says. "According to Jacob, you've been zombie mode while Charlie had to figure out what was happening to his youngest. All you did was sat there and stared off into space because your blood sucker left, but you forgot. It was his fault that your sister is going through so much hell."

"Paul, enough." Sam tells him. "You need to find a way to get Edward back here before it's too late for Tori, Edward, and their baby."

"Charlie?" Was the first thing Charlie heard. He turned to see Edward. "How's Tori?"

"Hurting and pregnant." Edward stared in shock. "You hurt my daughter..."

"I didn't want to leave." He tells him. "I fought for us and everything, but my brother for some odd reason thought we should leave and everyone chose his side."

"I read the letter. Tori is so broken by you leaving that she thought she could never tell you about the baby as your number changed." Charlie says. "Why don't you go inside? She's in her room asleep."

"I don't know how to contact Edward. They all changed everything."

"I'm sure he may figured out about now." Billy says. "Edward wouldn't want to stay away much longer."

Back at the Swan's, Edward walked into Tori's room and smiled. She was sound asleep and looked so peaceful. He touched her cheek and the pain went away. The redhead stirred before waking up to look and see the one person she has been hoping for. "Edward?" She said as he nodded. "W-what?"

"I had to come back. I'm not missing out on anything." He said as he sat down. "I'm so sorry, baby."

Tori smiled. "You're here, but I'm still a bit upset that you didn't stay. I know you fought, but I would have left if we switched spots." She tells him as she touched his cheek. "I love you, Edward."

"I love you, Tori and the next time that happens, I will leave. I can't lose you."

Charlie walked upstairs to check on Tori to see her and Edward discussing the baby. He smiled as he walked back downstairs to call Renee. Edward looked at Tori as she started dozing off again, but heard one thing that broke his heart. "Don't leave me."

"Never." He said laying beside her.

Tori placed her head on his chest as she fell asleep. The pain was gone, but they were still clueless about their mate bond.

"Jasper, get everyone back to Forks. I need to see if Bella died."

"What happened?"

"I saw her jumping from a cliff and drowning." She tells him. "We are going back for Tori's sake."

Jasper nodded as he did miss the redhead and remembered how hard Edward fought for him and Tori to be turned away. He looked at Alice as she left before going into the room with the others. "We're going home to Tori."
