Closer to You (DISCONTINUED)

1. Atsushi

🌊POV: Atsushi🌊

     I began to lug the suitcase to the elevators, lifting my shoulder so that the backpack would slide more securely on. The bags hanging from my other arm made it hard to stay balanced and I leaned to the side as I walked.

     I turned my head to cast a resentful glance at Dazai's empty arms, his only burden being a light gas station bag.

     "What do you have in that bag anyway?"

     "Guess," he replied, smiling casually.

     "Uh... ropes?"

     "Nope! Bandages." He reached his free hand into the bag, lifting a small box of bandages from it. "They were on sale!"

     "Uh huh..." I looked to the elevators in front of me, struggling to press the button. When one finally opened I followed Dazai in, letting him press out floor number.

     "So, Dazai," I said quietly as we stood in the elevator. The tall man glanced over.

     "Why are we going on a vacation? With the Port Mafia no less?"

     Dazai chuckled, looking back to the elevator doors. "Come on now, we defeated the Guild!" He counted the reasons on his fingers as he spoke. "We couldn't have done it without them, it would be rude not to invite Akutagawa after his help, and besides, the only other person coming is Chuuya."

     "Akutagawa..."

     "I know. You only have to get along with him for a week, is that so hard?"

     "Ugh..." I sighed, pausing for a moment. "Why do I feel like you have an ulterior motive for suggesting this?"

     "Of course, it's because I do!" Dazai grinned, stepping from the elevator doors.

     "Huh?!? You admit it? So what is it then?" I followed Dazai as he showed our rooms, located beside each other.

     "I miss annoying Chuuya. And a surprise for you~"

     He opened the door and I gaped at who was standing inside.

     "Akutagawa?"

     The black haired boy turned, scowling.

     "Hello, Akutagawa! Well, get along you two!" Dazai said, disappearing into his room.
