Chapter 9: Awkward tension

 CHAPTER-9

*The morning after sealing the deal*

Natsu and the others arrived at the designated area after a full day of travel from the palace. Gray came out of the makeshift tents and greeted the boys. They saw Juvia come out of another tent and walk over to them.

" Hello, Your Highness. I see that you made fast progress in getting here." Juvia said as she greeted Natsu. Just as the words left her mouth Lucy and the other girls arrived.

Everyone stared at them in shock, even Juvia. They had an entire wagon filled with books tagging behind them. " Sorry we took this long, but we had to prepare something." apologized Lucy as she got down from her horse with a heavy looking bag hung over her shoulder.

"Did you empty your queedom's library to bring it here" questioned Gajeel, eyeing the big load of books.

" Of course not, this is just a tiny part of the royal library," Levy explained, gesturing to the books.

" Now if you don't mind, would some of you men help us unpack this" asked Mira. All the boys except for Natsu who was staring at Lucy, went over to help the girls.

Juvia came up to Lucy and helped her remove the bag from her shoulder and take it over to the table Juvia and Gray had set up . Lucy straightened her shoulders and thought I never thought there would be a day when I worked with men but I guess fate had other plans as she approached Natsu.

" Your Majesty, May I ask what all those books contain?'' asked Natsu. Lucy stared at him for a moment before replying " They are all the books we had with information on Zeref." Natsu nodded his head and went to help the others with Lucy staring at him strangely.

After they all finished unpacking and placing the books inside a separate tent they all gathered around the table to discuss their plans. " We can start reading the books about Zeref tomorrow morning," suggested Lisanna.

" For now, I think it is best if we all just discuss the army strategies we are going to use when it will be time to go against his army" told Erza.

" We should try to find out where he is hiding, so it's easier for us to attack him," said Gray.

" We first need to read before we can do anything else" argued Levy and Gajeel at the same time. They stared at each other in shock. " Stop saying everything I say" they said yet again at the same time. Wendy burst into laughter and soon all the others joined into it.

After everyone had calmed down. Lucy said " They are all good things to do but I think we should just get some rest today. We will worry about this tomorrow." Everyone agreed and got up to leave when Gray and Juvia shared an uneasy look.

Natsu saw this and asked " What is it?" Gray answered " well.... there are only four 3 person tents and when we went to buy another two other tents...." Juvia continued " ... they had only one tent left." Everyone stared at them in horror.

Girls and boys said" You mean one of us has to share a tent with one of THEM" pointing at the other gender. Juvia and Gray nodded their heads glumly.
