Chapter 11: Tragic news

CHAPTER-11

*War tactics team*

They had the Map of the land spread out on the table and peering at it. Erza pointed out the weak spots that people could use to enter into Reality. Jellal looked up in surprise at her. " Why are you looking at her? This is her specialty. Why do you think she leads the A.R.M.Y?" questioned Mira.

" Don't start a fight. We need to discuss." Erza advised Mira. "This is all great but what technique do we use on Zeref's massive force?"

" Speed" " Strength" both Erza and Jellal said at the same time. They looked at each other confused. " What do you mean, strength will never help you win a fight," asked Erza.

" No, speed will never help you win," argued Jellal. " I think the way women and men fight are different," observed Mira.

" How about you guys have a spar to see which is better?" said Laxus. They both nodded and drew their swords out.

The match was very interesting. Erza managed to use her speed to escape Jellal attacks and Jellal used his strength to push Erza's sword off his and attack her. This spar continued for some time with both Erza and Jellal blocking and counter attacking each other. It ended up in a tie and at the end both of them were in an awkward position with Jellal's sword over Erza's throat and Erza's sword over Jellal's throat while her body was twisted.

"Well that was interesting..." Mira said smugly. Laxus coughed as the two disentangled from each other and straightened their clothes with their hands. . " I guess we can use both techniques," said Laxus.

Just then Gajeel called out to them " Guys I think Levy found something." They looked at each other and made their way over to the research table.

*Research team*

" What is it?" asked Natsu, looking back and forth between Levy and Lucy. Just then, the war tactics team arrived. Lisanna looked at Erza and Jellal strangely. She raised her eyebrows at Erza asking her what happened. Erza shook her head as if to say ' it's nothing'. Lisanna shrugged and went back to looking at Lucy who looked horror struck .

" Lucy, snap out of it and tell us," said Juvia while shaking her shoulders. " Yeah sorry but that book is about the death of Mavis, Zeref's wife.." explained Lucy.

Everyone nodded their heads understanding except for Wendy and Romeo. " Is anyone going to explain to us?" questioned Wendy. Both of them got ignored as all the others, especially the girls started panicking.

" If this has anything to do with Mavis's death then we are screwed" yelled Lucy as she went into a complete meltdown. The boys who were the only ones that were acting sane didn't know what to do with the girls and they stood awkwardly.

" EVERYONE ! WILL SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON" screamed Romeo.

Everyone looked at him startled but nodded. Mira walked up to them and explained " This is the tragic death of Mavis, the original Queen of illusion and imagination......."

While this was happening Natsu and Lucy looked at each other and nodded, pulling out half of a key each. The key that was not used in a hundred years and was never expected to be used again. The key to the ancient archive of Magnolia.
