Chapter 10: Breakfast and Research

CHAPTER-10

*The Next morning*

Everyone woke up and was sitting around the table eating when the tent flap opened and Natsu and Lucy came out. Everyone cringed simaletounely remembering last night's event.

*Last Night*

" So....Who wants to be the tribute?" asked Lucy. Everyone as one betrayed their royal friends and pointed at Natsu and Lucy. "WHAT!! I am not sleeping with HIM. Why is it me" whined Lucy.

" The feeling is mutual, sweetheart. Don't worry that poor head of yours." grumbled Natsu.

"Well....for one you are the Queen and you should learn to sacrifice. Second 'Majority rules'." stated Erza as she held up her hands.

" Plus Erza, Mira, Laxus and I have lots of weapons on us and it will be quite difficult to change our clothes," offered Jellal. Everyone nodded their heads and quickly ran to their tents before the royals could say anything. Lucy and Natsu looked at each other warily before entering the tent. They thought It's going to be a long night.

They both sat in silence before Lucy decided to speak up " Please keep to your side of the tent or else you won't go back to your kingdom in one piece."

" I am not that shallow, Your Majesty . Please follow your own rules properly" warned Natsu before lying down and going to sleep. Lucy rolled her eyes and went to sleep.

*Back to the next morning*

Everyone shuddered and went back to eating. Laxus teased Natsu " So.....how did you sleep last night?" Mira snickered " yeah Lucy how was it?"

" Do you both have a death wish?" warned both Natsu and Lucy while glaring at them.

" Guys, that's enough, we are here for one sole reason and that is to plan." scolded Lisanna. " Your right, Lis. Sorry, we need to speed things up, we only have 4 more days before he attacks" apologized Lucy.

" I have an idea, we will split into two groups. One to research the books, one to plan the war tactics so we can save time." suggested Mirajane.

" Good idea. How about Mira, Erza,Jellal and Laxus on war tactics as they specialize in it and the others on the research" suggested Romeo.

" You are very smart for a boy," commented Wendy. Everyone agreed and went over to their stations to start.

*Research team*

They all were very tired from reading for hours without any clues. Bixslow thought I hope the others are having better luck than us. Romeo suddenly asked " what is this" pointing to a text in his book.Wendy went over to look but she also looked confused. Lisana went over to take a look and she blushed while reading the text .

" What's wrong, what did you read?" questioned Lucy as she came over to look and her face turned into a poker face. This happened with everyone until Juvia came over and snatched the book from Romeo and read the text out loud.

"Ah! Is this all? You guys made this a big deal." commented Juvia. Then she turned to Romeo and Wendy explained " Have you ever wondered how both the kingdom and queendom continued growing without intermingling? Well when the war between the men and women ended and they were each given their own lands. Nature responded by creating a magical flame sealed within the parchment the royals sign every 10 yrs..."

Gray continued " ....After every signature the magical flame ensures another 10 yrs of babies coming to each woman or man when they turn 24 or when a person wishes to raise a child." Both Romeo and Wendy nodded their heads and processed the info they had heard.

" Oii Levy, why are you still over there reading that book?" shouted Gajeel .

" It might be nothing but I think I found something," replied Levy as she looked up from the book.

Lucy looked at the title and a horrific look came upon her face. "You don't mean......." said Lucy. Levy replied " I am afraid so, Lucy"

The title read " The Great Death of ..............."
