*Marinette's POV*

It was finally over. What seemed as a decade of hell waiting to rain upon us was actually over in a few days, adding a bunch of injuries— both mental and physical. Landing back in Paris was a relief, all of seeming to relax at the familiar air of our home and safe space, truly marking the end of all our adventures.

I was now the Queen of China, although my parents would still reign until I graduate and we'd go from there. As of now—and hopefully forever—all the assassins that were after me are now dead or in prison.

Hawkmoth was now gone, his miraculous being confiscated by myself and put in a safe place. Making sure that he didn't do anything to endanger Paris again my guards had watched over him and raided his house, finding the Peacock miraculous behind a painting. I'd have to discuss that with Nooroo and Master Fu. We're not even gonna talk about the creepy akuma garden and shrine underneath the Agreste mansion.

Entering Paris showed how clueless everyone else was to the dangers one could experience. I was the only one who had injuries to show and then Mrs. Agreste was now trending in France—quite possibly the world at this point. In the end, Paris had absolutely no clue what myself and my class went through on our trips to China, as well as who some of us were, behind the hero suits and royal titles. Even if it was all hidden, it still felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders and our lives could go back to normal.

I stared at my computer screen, watching Emilie Agreste speak about her whereabouts and why her husband has yet to be seen. My phone buzzed in the background as my classmates rapidly talked about what they were watching. They had all hoped that Emilie would reveal that her husband was Hawkmoth so the destructive villain could be put behind bars for good, not allowing any wealth to free him from his own hell.

No one bothered to sugarcoat their words after the days spent watching innocent humans being turned into monsters just because they were upset. They didn't care that Hawkmoth was their classmate's father and instead agreed that Gabriel was easy to see as a crazy person willing to destroy everyone. Everyone had supported Adrien through the times of realizing that he had been living with someone who wanted him dead and cheered him on when he admitted he didn't necessarily care what happened to his father.

After everything that we had all been through, including Paris as a whole, Adrien hoped his father would get locked behind bars for the rest of his life and that he could be happy with his friends and family. Needless to say, all of us planned on having a large get together party at the Agreste mansion to celebrate a newfound beginning for not only Adrien, but also for the citizens of Paris.

My phone abruptly went silent as Emilie Agreste announced to the world that Hawkmoth was actually her husband, Gabriel Agreste, and had brought proof and apologizes to Paris for what has happened.

Everything had seemed to fall silent, the world practically stopping its rotation as those watching slowly took in the information. It didn't take more than five minutes for all hell to break loose. New channels popped up everywhere with Hawkmoth's identity, Gabriel was swarmed by reporters as my guards walked him to a cop car with his hands cuffed, media posts ranging from social to just plain articles were posted with the shocking news, all fashion brands related to Gabriel had quickly turned their backs to him and left.

Sooner or later, the mayor was brought out to speak to Paris. He had discussed such events regarding to Hawkmoth and what would be happening, relaying information on how Ladybug, Chat Noir, Rena Rouge, and Carapace had all brought down the infamous villain. Not too long ago, I had typed a letter out and explained the events of finding out Hawkmoth's identity and gave it to Chloe who would then pass it to her father. I obviously had to lie my way around the corner because I simply couldn't put "Ladybug, the crowned Queen of China, had taken down villain in her home while her classmates watched".
