Katibah Elle
Chapter 23Tahseen paced by her bedroom balcony, her chestnut hair freeing from being tucked away, twirling with the breeze of the wind.
Her long, white silk dress, fluttered around her ankles, as she skipped back and forth, looking out for the men to return. She looked absolutely stunning in her white and gold wedding dress , a medieval renaissance inspired look.
The dress fitted her like a glove, cinched at the waist with the silk chiffon cape flowing behind.
Her searching eyes were winged with black eyeliner, a golden shimmer over her eyelids. With ruby red lips and a faint blush, her makeup was bold and flawless. She wore the heavily beaded, lace hood loosely over her head, giving way to the tendrils curls, that happily danced in the air, as she sought out her beloved from the garden below.
She didn't bother to complete dressing as she waited, her bare feet, cold on the balcony tiles.
Too anxious to wear her shoes, the pretty diamanté Louis Vuitton's were still packed in the box. Her hijab strewn haphazardly on the bed, waiting to be worn. All she needed, was to see him, so see her love, to know that he was okay.
Her heart yearned for him, and the anxious feeling needed to be sated. The Nikah was live streamed, and so, like everyone else listening, she heard that her grandfather had voiced his opinions along with many threats.
Anything could happen from the Masjid to her home.
She knew the wrath of her grandfather well, he had connections with all types of people, and a supposed car accident or alleged hijacking, even a shooting, was something he could command at any moment, with no trace to his name.
Closing her eyes, she made a silent prayer, for the safe return of her husband, father, brothers and the rest of the family.
Tahseen's eyes fluttered open, turning to her right, as a hand clasped her gently around her waist, jerking her very close to a warm torso.
Her gasp was met by a sharp intake of breath, as the solid chest rumbled in approval.Zuhair!
Her heart strummed violently in her chest, he was here!
Safe and sound.
She turned around, her tense body softened in his embrace, her heart flooding with gratitude, her eyes drinking in the intense love, lust and adoration she saw in his, the shy smile never leaving her lips.
With every moment he looked at her, his eyes shone brighter, his embrace tighter.Leaning forward, his forehead pressed to hers, a heartfelt prayer uttered, with reverence, "My Allah, bless my beautiful bride and I, with a deep love, sweet harmony and happiness.
I want to stand side by side, holding hands and never letting go, be it that the sky may come crashing down, or the sun shining brighter, there's no one else I'd rather face it with.
I see a future, with only her, a future, that I will be there to hold her high, through every success and I will be there to catch her, if she ever falls.
With her beside me, every success or failure of mine, will be a blessing.
Our love will grow stronger with every perfect moment and every disagreement. I find a light in her, that's spurs on the best of me, and hope I can inspire the same.
Anchor our marriage Oh Allah, as this woman is mine as I am hers, and for that, my contentment is complete.
Aameen."A happy tear escapes her eyelashes, sliding down her lips, Tahseen whispered in reply, "Aameen. Aameen. Aameen."
Zuhair wipes the tear off of her lips, with a single flick of his thumb, "I love you Tahseen, from the deepest part of my aching heart." He murmured.
