The rain falls and the thunder rumbles as the group are now in Mike's basement staring at the boy.
Mike: Is there a number we can call for your parents?
Dustin: Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?
Eleven hits Dustin's arms.
Lucas: Did you run away?
Mike: Are you in some kind of trouble?
Lucas: Is that blood?
Eleven: Stop it! You're freaking him out!
Lucas: He's freaking me out!
Dustin: I bet he's deaf.
Dustin moves his hands beside the boys head and claps. He flinchs.
Dustin: Not deaf.
Mike: All right, that's enough, all right? He's just scared and cold.
[Thunder Rumbling]
Mike hands him some clothes.
Mike: Here, these are clean.
The boy grabs the clothes and stands ready to take his clothes off.
Mike: Okay? No, no, no!
The Boys are exclaiming as Eleven looks away blushing.
Dustin: Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Eleven: See over there?That's the bathroom. Privacy. Get it?
The boy walks in the bathroom looking around as Mike is attempting to close the door but the boy stops him.
Mike: You don't want it closed?
Five: No.
Mike:Oh, so you can speak.
Okay, well...Um, how about we just keep the door...just like this. Is that better?
Five: Yes.
Dustin: This is mental.
Mike: At least he can talk.
Lucas: He said "no" and "yes." Your three-year-old sister says more.
Dustin: He tried to get naked.
Mike: El your okay you're a little quiet.
Eleven who looks likes she's zoned out turns to Mike.
Eleven: Huh.
Lucas: There's something seriously wrong with him. Like, wrong in the head.

Dustin proceeds to act as if he's taking his clothes off like Five did.
Mike: Eleven doesn't seem to mind, right El?
The boys then turn back to see Jane who's still blushing from the encounter.
Eleven: Can you not Mike.
Lucas: I bet he escaped from Pennhurst.
Mike: From where?
Lucas: The nuthouse in Kerley County.
Dustin: You got a lot of family there?
Lucas: Bite me. Seriously though, think about it. That would explain his shaved hair and why he's so crazy.
Dustin: Why he went like...
