Everyone was present.

Matt's face illuminated, once the white door opened and Alexandra's grinning expression greeted him.

"Ken-Cake!" She exclaimed, and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Hey!" Smiled Matt, seeing his friend after three months and embracing her back, with the rest of the alcohol, in his grasp.

Breaking away from each other, the Shadowhunter gave him a worried look. "How's Vicki?"

The Donovan boy exhaled a chuckle after stepping inside the residence. "Wow, I keep forgetting how much you care for everyone."

"Well, I'm a Mother of two toddlers, it's kinda what I do," she beamed sweetly at him, still expecting an answer about the Donovan girl.

"She's fine, um..." He leaned closer to Alexandra, whispering in her ear, "Actually, I'd like to talk to you about that, in private." She looked at him sideways and replied with a nod, which made the blond boy in front of her, smile in appreciation.

"Whenever you wish."

𝐀ɴ 𝐇ᴏᴜʀ 𝐋ᴀᴛᴇʀ...

Everything was in place.

The moon had reached its apex (there was no need to be a full moon for the Spell to be accomplished. Lydia's foresight for the night, was enough for the Shadowhunters to decide if they would perform the Spell or not), every friend of the heavenly beauty's had arrived and the music room had been prepared with the appropriate Runes now invisible, and the space on the floor now free, for everyone to drink and dance with spaciousness.

The Bloodwood trio had taken their places on the stage, with their musical instruments in hand. All the lights were out and only Josiah's footsteps on the stage were echoing in the room.

With hands on the microphone, eyes closed and internally praying to the Angel Raziel for good fortune, Josiah waited for Gabriel's signal with the drumsticks, to start their first song from their first album, 'Obsession'.

One, two, three, four and Nathaniel's Electric Guitar echoed before Gabriel with slight thuds of his Drums and then louder and quicker started their melody inside the room - the lights of the room now all over the stage, pointing only to them, waiting for Alexandra and Josiah to join the duo.

The youngest Bloodwood then joined her siblings with her Bass Guitar and after a good time with the musical instruments' tune, Josiah started caressing the lyrics of their very first song, 'Addicted to You', which was originally written by Alexandra, back when she started having affections for Daniel but believed it was only from her side, meaning the lyrics had lots of feelings in them, so that made the song the perfect start for the Protection Spell (think a beat similar to 𝐌ᴜsᴇ's song, 𝐏sʏᴄʜᴏ).

Everyone in the room was dancing and singing along with the musical instruments' beat and Josiah's words about a catastrophic, addictive and possessive love.

Almost every song of 'The Bloodwoods' was in a Rock-like tune. It was their way of showing the world their feelings. For instance, Gabriel, long before their uncle Christian's death, back when Vivienne threw Alexandra out of the Manhattan Institute, for an unexplainable reason, started to distance himself from almost everyone but especially Alexa. No one knew why Vivienne did this and no one knew why Gabriel's attitude towards his little sister changed as well, since then. He certainly did not blame her for their uncle's death but he never actually talked about the true reason for his sudden distance from her. So, he closed more to himself and that caused a bewildering change in his mood. He was angry all the time. And he needed to let that steam out somehow, so playing the Drums seemed really helpful and relaxing afterwards.
