Rose found Damon drinking in front of the fireplace and cleared her throat to announce her presence.

"So, how did it go?" She crossed her arms, in expectation.

The male turned around with a huge smirk on his face. "It went great! The guy's 'vengeance mode' turned into 'kill mode' in no time!"

"What do you mean?" Frowned the brunette and walked up to him. "He agreed to actually kill Klaus?"

"Unfortunately not," grimaced the Salvatore descendant, in disappointment. "He adamantly closed the door on actually killing the bastard, but..." He winked, proudly. "He did agree on making him regret for everything he's done so far, in a so not pleasant way."

"That sounds nice," smiled Rosemarie, in satisfaction. "Did you ask him about the coffin? Did he know what's locked up in it?"

"Yes and no," replied Damon with pursed lips and went to pour them a drink once he finished his glass. "Which gave him a perfect idea for a plan."

"What kind of plan?" She wondered.

"Dunno yet," replied the younger immortal, truthfully. "We'll meet up again tomorrow so he can sleep on it. Which gives me time to think about my plan."

The female furrowed her brows, in curiosity. "Your plan? What are you up to, again?"

He handed her a glass of Bourbon and sighed as he leaned against the couch. "You just have to trust me on this, Rosebud. It'll be the most ridiculous, the most absurd and the most insane thing I'll ever do... but I know it'll make her happy..."

"Alexandra?" He nodded and looked down at his glass before he gulped it down. "And... how do you feel about that?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "Good, I guess."

She knew he was lying.

She stepped closer to him. "Damon?" He looked up at her. "How do you really feel about that?"

She could read him like an open book, he couldn't deny it now.

"When I went to see her in the hospital..." He shook his head with closed eyes. "It was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. Seeing her dead was the worst thing that could ever happen to me. Since I met her, I didn't only love her because I'd fallen in love with her... I learned to love her for... being her. She taught me how to love her 'friendly' and how to love her 'romantically'. Since I became a vampire, the only people who loved me for who and what I was, were you, Hotness and her Uncle, even if he whines all the time." Rose chuckled. "When I went to the hospital, I talked to her. I told her what she means to me and what will happen to all of us if she dies, hoping she would hear me..." A tear ran down his cheek. "But... I made a promise too."

"What kind of promise?"

"That I would do anything in my power if it meant to see her alive again... even if I had to accept her feelings for Elijah..."

Rosemarie hugged him and he lay his head on her stomach as he caressed his hair. "You're a good man, Damon. You may not know it, yet, but you are. And I'm proud of you."

"Thank you, Rosebud."

He put their glasses aside with a grateful smile before grabbing her and sitting her on his lap, causing her to gasp, in surprise.
