“I like your 𝐀ᴛᴛɪʀᴇ,” smiled Klaus as they walked and broke the awkward silence.

Alexandra scoffed with a small smile. “Thank you.”
“Go ahead,” he made her look at him. “Ask me whatever you wish to ask. I know you want to.”
She glanced ahead and shoved her hands into her jacket pockets. “You know what I wish to ask you.”
“I do,” admitted the hybrid with a nod. “But I prefer hearing you say it.”
The brunette exhaled deeply and closed her eyes for a couple of seconds, and when she opened them again, she raised the question, “Were you being honest about finally undaggering your siblings?”
The Original sighed and looked down, understanding her doubt. “I was.” She turned to face him but he didn't. “The night you ‘magically’ returned in Mystic Falls and fell unconscious in my arms... Damon paid me a visit right outside the hospital and threatened me about Mikael. Since then, my one and only thought, was to finally find the courage to... face him, and finally reunite my family. Hell...” He laughed. “I even wanted to undagger Finn. I still do, actually. Even though he's the dullest person–”
“He's still your brother,” disrupted the Nephilim. “And no matter how dull you say he is...” She made him look at her. “You still love him. In your own way.”
The Mikaelson male shook his head with a smile, knowing that he couldn't deny her statement.
“Do you miss him?” He enquired, unexpectedly.
The half-Cretan's breath hitched upon hearing that and exhaled afterwards.
“Who, Elijah?” She wondered although she knew his answer. When he nodded, she bit her lip and responded, “Yes... I do.”
He didn't know if he should feel relieved or heartbroken...
They had reached an area with multiple trucks, heading for the one he was holding his siblings’ coffins in.
“I didn't get to say ‘thank you’, love,” he uttered and stopped their walking by grasping her arm, gently, before she could run and open the truck herself. “Despite your feelings towards me, you warned me and let me know of your friends’ plan against me. And thanks to you... my worst nightmare is now gone. For good.”
“You being an arse these past few months to all of us, here, didn't erase the fact that I wished death upon Mikael the minute I learned how he tormented the innocent boy you once were, Nik,” she sighed and raised her hand to caress his cheek. “You weren't born evil, Nik... your life made you that way. That's why I warned you about Damon and Mikael's plan. And that's also why I persuaded Elijah and Rebekah to not kill you, even if they had every right to do so after everything that you did to them.”
