"Are you out of your bloody mind!?"

She exclaimed while pacing back and forth, trying to comprehend everything that had just come out of Bonnie's lips.

"Look, I'm sorry, I didn't tell you," apologized the witch. "But I needed them to believe that it was the real Moonstone! So, even if someone does manage to steal it from us, in some way, we will still have the real one, in our hands!"

The older female halted and turned to face her. "And by doing so, you almost got yourself killed! It took my blood and a great deal of my energy along with your Grandmother's years of experience and practice to get that tomb opened, and it was really painful for me at first, Bonnie. What made you think that you could succeed in that, all by yourself?"

Bonnie looked down at her hands. "I wasn't all by myself, I was channelling Luka Martin." She admitted and shivered when she listened to Alexandra's growl.

"You chan-!?" She trailed off, furiously and sat down across from the Bennett girl, inhaling deeply. "Who is that man?"

"I met him at school, he's new," replied the mortal witch and dared to lift her gaze up, to look her friend in the eyes. "He came to find me after that and revealed to me that he's a witch, too!"

Hearing upon that, the Nephilim didn't know to what she should react first; the fact that Bonnie entrusted a stranger, the fact that she almost killed him and herself or the fact that she referred to him as a 'witch'?

"Please, tell me you didn't call him a 'witch'," she pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes.

The young witch averted her gaze from the Shadowhunter's form. "Maybe I did."

"You were excellent in grammar when you were a mere chocolate doll," she tried to calm herself down by emphasizing another matter. "You knew the difference between males and female-"

"Okay, I'll call them 'warlocks' from now on," said Bonnie, a bit annoyingly.

Alexandra's head whipped round towards her 'Brownie'. "Them? Was there someone else apart from that poor boy, who wished to offer you their assistance!?"

"No," answered the Bennett witch. "Dr. Martin is Luka's Dad. I met him at The Grill, a couple of days ago."

"Martin?" Repeated the Shadowhunter with a frown, suspicion clouding her judgement. "Did you say that the boy, Luka, is new? What do you mean? Aren't he and his Father from around here?"

"No, they just moved into town," the dark-skinned girl sipped her water. "Why are you asking?"

"Just curious," replied the half-Cretan and supported her elbows on her knees, crossing her fingers. "Now... was he the one to whom you gave everything that I lent you, two days ago?"

Bonnie's eyes widened.

"How did you...?"

The half-mundane raised her eyebrow, pointedly. "I simply didn't believe for a moment that you wanted to dress up for a boy, even if we're speaking about Jeremy."

Furthermore, she wondered how on Earth did Elijah locate her and Elena. But the doppelgänger let her know that she too, saw Elijah's reflection in the window and that she was unable in finding some of her jewellery. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, Alexandra didn't consider it a coincidence that after Bonnie's visit, one of her frames had disappeared from the tallboy, where she kept some of her frames as well.
