Their hearts beat in the same rapid rhythm as did many times before.

Alexandra could not deny the attraction she began developing for the Original but regretted it, greatly. How could the man that was supposed to be her significant other for life, be the very same man who wished to have Elena sacrificed for a bloody curse!?

This couldn't be happening...

Elijah on the other hand, was lost in the daze of her beauty.

He never imagined that his soulmate would be both metaphorically and literally an Angel...

Jonas, his warlock associate, had come upon a few Bennett witches when he still dwelled in Massachusetts and had discovered that they were protecting a very specific bloodline, through the centuries; the Bloodwoods.

When he realized, that Alexandra's surname was Bloodwood, he knew for a fact that she was of Shadowhunter blood while Elijah, initiated suspecting that there was a high opportunity of her being a carrier of his Soulmate Bond... or his soulmate herself.

Now, that he looked into her beautiful eyes he knew that the heavenly existence before him was indeed his other half.

But his gaze darkened once it fell upon the blood that veiled most of her complexion. He brought up his hand and the Nephilim's eyes along with the doppelgänger's widened in terror.

He just tucked the bloodied locks away from the half-Cretan's forehead and laced his fingers over the large scar, making her wince in pain and close her eyes shut, in order to contain a scream of pain.

He removed his fingers when a tear escaped her eye's confine and the Original wiped it away with his thumb, causing Lady Bloodwood to open her eyes, in curiousness.

"Who's responsible for this?" He enquired, in a vehement tone, spreading fear to the room's occupants.

Alexandra cast a quick look at Rose and Trevor, who wouldn't dare move from their spots. She found herself unable from uttering any words to the suited vampire.

Elijah perceived the exchange of eyes and was about to turn around when her melodious voice ceased his action.

"My kidnapper!" She found the courage to say and Elijah closed his eyes briefly, at the sound of her voice. "H-e's the one responsible."

The Original's posture immediately straightened, his mind going instantly to Trevor, whose heart was ready to explode from inside his chest.

"Is that so?" He veered around and made his way towards the other male vampire, who was scared to death.

Alexandra, realizing her error, proceeded to stop him and explain, "No, it wasn't-!" Elijah raised his hand to silence her without even turning around and the Shadowhunter complied reluctantly; mostly worrying about the poor man's condition if she didn't.

The noble male stood across Trevor, seeming calm when he was fuming inside. "Were you the one who caused harm to the lady?"

"N-no!" Stuttered the inferior-to-him creature, in fear for his life. "It was one of the guys I had them kidnapped. I had no involvement in her beating, I swear!"

Elijah pondered over numerous ways to execute the traitor in front of him, painfully, whether he had laid a hand on the angelic beauty or not.

"He's telling the truth," Alexandra spoke in Trevor's favour, surprising everyone. "He and Rose were not even present in our abduction."
