Enquired Elijah, softly as he watched her glancing at nothing in particular.
"Lucky," she replied, emptily, tangling her fingers in her children's hair. "I haven't experienced such power in years."
"Any ideas of your attacker's identity?" He whispered, noticing Charles stirring in his sleep.
"My most recent attacker is rotting in a very comfortable tomb, underneath the Church ruins," she referred to Katherine, hatefully.
Elijah tensed. "Katerina? She attacked you? When?"
Alexandra let the corner of her lips curve upwards. "The night Elena and I were kidnapped so we could be delivered to you."
"What did she do to you?" He enquired, adamantly, clenching his fist.
The female turned to look at him, tiredly. "How about helping me take Maeve and Charles into their bedroom first? I shall tell you everything afterwards."
At that exact moment, Maeve chose to turn around in her sleep and cuddle up into the Original's side, bringing on his and her mother's smiles on their faces.
"I believe I have no choice," humoured the man, stroking the little girl's cheek. "The ladies have come to a decision."
"We're women," whispered the Nephilim, with a smirk and picked Charles up. "What's your superpower?"
She exited the room when the vampire gasped in shock, her melodious laughter reaching his supernatural hearing as he gently picked Maeve up and followed Alexandra towards the twins' bedroom.
After he assisted her in changing her children into their pyjamas, they emerged from the room and started walking their way back to Alexandra's chambers when they noticed the water in the hallway.
"I could help you with this, too," he offered and she grinned.
"You've helped me quite enough the last two days, don't you think?"
He married his grin to hers. "Even if there was no deal between Miss Gilbert and myself, I would still remain by your side whenever you might need me, Alexandra. I believe you know that."
Her expression turned serious, slowly, perceiving his floating point.
Nodding her head, hastily, she put on a grateful beam. "I do. Thank you for that."
Elijah sighed in defeat for not being able to get her to talk about their Soulmate Bond. "It is no hardship."
Veering round towards the hall stand, the brunette pulled one drawer open and pulled out her second 𝐒ᴛᴇʟᴇ and used her ability to create Runes, and drew one on her wrist, causing the Original to widen his eyes, in shock.
