Even if she knew that he wasn't actually dead, it pained her heart to see him with a dagger in his heart.
He looked so peaceful yet Alexandra knew that it certainly wasn't like it.
She had no idea what that potion was, that Isobel gave her to drink before Elijah drove the dagger into his own heart and set that way Katherine free from the tomb. But it seemed it was doing a great job, considering Alexandra was perfectly awake while Elijah wasn't. But the Nephilim wouldn't stop feeling a piercing pain inside her heart that made her feel more exhausted and dizzy as the day passed.
She was seated in the armchair beside the four-poster bed she had Elijah laying on, staring at the dagger intensely.
Gulping down the rest of her wine, she stood up and took hold of the dagger before slowly pulling it out of the Original's chest.
Immediately, a sensation of alleviation spread in her heart and it made her close her eyes, sighing deeply.
Suddenly, she heard the kitchen door downstairs being opened and she instantly went to see who it was.
Reaching the railing, her eyes caught a glimpse of Elena entering the living room, apparently looking for her.
Releasing a soft whistle in the air, Alexandra managed to attract the doppelgänger's attention to her, a smile gracing both their faces.
"There you are," mumbled Elena softly, moving forward to the stairs.
"Aw, did you miss me?" Joked the Nephilim when the teenager reached the last step and went to embrace her.
"Of course, I did," joked the doppelgänger back and pulled away from her, her expression turning serious. "I uh, wanted to talk to you."
"About Jenna?" Said the Shadowhunter, not allowing Elena to say anything else for she was certain that this was the reason for her visit. "Cupcake, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about her knowing the truth, but it was her decision to remain a secret. I had to respect it."
Although the Gilbert heir didn't wish to speak to her about that exactly, she did say her opinion, "To be honest, you and Ric pulled me out of a situation I was terrified of doing. I was asking myself if it was the right time for me to tell her but I always ended up changing my mind. I thought I was protecting her by not telling her the truth, but apparently... I wasn't. God, she's so mad at me and Jeremy that she barely spoke to us when she left for the Campus."
"Give her time," offered the half-Cretan. "Now, that Isobel was here, it was way more difficult for her to maintain her temper."
Elena smiled, briefly, before muttering, "This wasn't the reason I came to see you, actually."
"What's the matter?" Queried the half-mundane, hiding the dagger with her palm.
"Um... I want you to undagger Elijah."
Alexandra was utterly shocked upon hearing that.
"You want me to do what?"
"Look, Alexa," sighed the doppelgänger. "Bonnie accidentally revealed that there's something destiny-like going on with you and Elijah. I'm not proud of what we did, but we pressed her to tell us about it and she eventually did."
Dread took over the heavenly creature's being. "Sh-she told you-? Who did she tell!? Damon? Stefan!? Does Caroline-?"
"-Caroline yes," admitted the younger female. "Stefan and Damon... no, thankfully."
