New year, new work

Emily's POV

I'm so happy that everything went perfect with our families, i was so worried about it, about my mom. But everything is okay, we're about to start school again, the last semester and then, college. I already looked for some but i'm not sure, i wanna know where's Ali going to go. I don't want to have this life where she's in one college, i'm in other one, and we only see each other in the weekends. We decided to find a work, we need money for the wedding and also for the apartment, i hope we can get it by the end of this sumer to start our new life. Today we decided to look and find some offers, but also today is the last day of this year, and Noel prepared this party. It's going to be a big party, just like the others, music and drinks, and we'll sleep there, just Toby, Spencer, Aria, Ali and me. We've been awake for a few hours, and we should go know to come back early and get prepared for the Noel thing, but Ali has been in the bath for almost an hour, i don't get why it takes her so long to dresses up, like, you just have to put your clothes on, it takes you five minutes... but not for Ali.

"Ali! We should go now!" I say as i go to my room again.

"Just five minutes!" I hear her say from the bathroom.

I wait for her on my bed. When she finally walks out i see her just wearing a hoodie and jeans.

"Ali?I can i ask you something?" I say still looking at her.

"Sure, what is it?" She says curious looking at me.

"You needed almost one hour just to put a hoodie and jeans?" I say laughing, seriously i don't get it.

"Yeah" She says proud of herself. But i still don't get it.

"But why so long?" I say still laughing. She comes closer laughing low.

"Because i wanted to be beautiful for you" She says getting closer.

"You're always beautiful for me, even when you just woke up and your hair is all messy and you have a sleepy face" I say standing up.

"You don't get it, i don't understand how can you put on your clothes in one minute and boom, you're ready" She says now laughing at me.

"We are so different sometimes" I say laughing.

"Yeah, but i still llove you" She says taking my hand to go donwstairs.

I smile at her and we go. We don't know what we're looking for exactly, but something after school and something normal. We saw some places like stores... but all of them didn't need new people working, they were full. We've been looking for more than two hours, but we get nothing. I'm staring to desperate, we really need this job. We were so tired so we stopped at the Brew to eat a sandwich or something. We walk in and sit, we're so tired.

"Well, we should keep watching" She says driking of her glass for water.

"Yeah, we really need a job" I say worried, seriously, we need money.

"Yeah" She says with a worried face too.

This is going to be hard, but without a job we won't have enough money for the wedding and for the apartment. I look around desperate, it's a need. I stop at the counter, i didn't see that when we walked in.

"Hey Ali, wait a moment... I'll be right back" I still looking at it.

"Okay" She says is a weird tone.

I stand up and i go to it, it's a note. I read it, to see if i read it right. It says that they need help and they have free places for people to work as waiters. This is our chance, yes. I take it, just in case someone could see it and ask for the work but no, because i saw it first. I go to the table again and i grab Ali's hand making her stand up.
