Emily's POV

It's been one week since Ali woke up. The doctor said she couldn't go to school yet, so she stayed in her house the whole week, i've been visiting her everyday of couse. It's Saturday, she has to go to the doctor today again, if everything is totally fine they'll let her go to school again and do all the things she used to do. It's early, but she has to be in the hospital at 10am and i want to be with her, also she asked me to go with her. I take a quick shower. It's cold outside, so i wear long jeans and boots. I look outside the window, i hope it won't start to rain. I look at the time, It's 9:30 am, i have to pick her up like... now. I take my car keys and i go outside, my mom is in Texas again with my father, she went there yesterday, so, if everything goes okay with Ali she'll stay with me. I smile at that, i'd love to be with her every second of the day, like old times. I park righ in front of her house, and i send her a text saying that i'm already here. I wait two minutes, and she opens the door. She looks so beautiful, with her blue eyes and her blond curls...
She comes to my car smiling. She opens the door and sits next to me.

"Hey" she says giving me a little kiss.

"Hey" i say smiling like a full.

We make our way to the hospital, it's close from here so we get there in ten minutes. We walk in hand in hand, i see the old nurse that took care of her. She comes to us with a big smile in her face.

"Oh, sweetheart, how are you?" She says hugging me. I hug her back.

"Good, what about you?" I say to her.

"You know, here like always" she says laughing. I notice that she's looking at Ali "You're so lucky to have her" she says pointing at me. I feel my face blushing.

"I know" says Ali with a smile looking at me.

"Well, i hope everything will be okay with you two" she says grabbing our hands for a moment, then she walks away.

She's so nice, i remember everyday i came here she gave me hope. Once she caught me crying desperate in the bathroom. She stayed there with me, talking with me about it. She really helped me. I smile as we walk to the wait room, we sit and just, wait. I notice Ali is kind of nervous, she's moving her leg up and down, up and down.

"Are you nervous?" I ask her putting my hand on her leg to stop her.

"Kind of" she says looking at me. She keeps moving her leg.

"There's nothing to be worried about Ali, you're perfectly fine" i say grabbing her hand with my other hand "Just take a deep breath, everything is gonna be okay"

She obeys me, she takes a deep breath and close her eyes to calm down. She stopped moving her leg, i smile at myself.

"There it is" i say laughing.

She laughs and then she opens her eyes again to look at me.

"Thanks" she says smiling. Her smile is so beautiful...

"You're welcome" i say looking at the front again, still grabbing her hand.

There are a lot of people in here, all waiting with sad faces. A hospital is a sad place, full of sick people, people crying everywhere, blood... In the whole month i spent here i had time to see a lot more of the hospital and how it works. I think being a doctor is such a complicated thing, you have to do a lot of horrible things, like say to a family that her son died. But besides that part of the hospital, full of death and sadness, there's this part with hope and happiness. I've seen people pass horrible sickness, people not giving up on their lives and families crying of happiness because of that. Hospitals are such interesting places, you can find a lot of things in it.
This weird thoughts i'm having are interrupted by the voice of the doctor.
