Chris Evans : Deception

Part 18

                                                                                         Chris's POV

Chris is meeting everyone at the BBQ, talking with Kaylee knowing her fiance through Paul. In his head he keeps wondering where Paul had gone. He knew he headed towards the beach being told there was someone he needed to talk to. Chris was talking with people they were all very nice, his was feeling a little anxious being here with no one he knew. However he found these 2 sister's Emma and Amber super kind and nice. They didn't ask him for autographs or about his movies, just talked to him about the weekend plans. They hoped he would have a good time later tonight with the boys relaxed bachelor camp out party.  Since the pandemic still had restrictions so Conner, Kaylee fiance came up with boys camping, drinks, with a bond fire although, that was after watching a fight on pay per view at some point. Conner saw Chris on his own so came up to him to talk. They had met through Paul and Kaylee's friendship. They had become good friends.

"Hey man, how are you doing? Hope Kaylee's cousin's aren't driving you crazy with questions." he said.

"Nah, they are really nice, just talking regular  shit with me. It's nice and relaxed here. Congratulations man." Chris said.

"ya thanks, good thing y/n is off at somewhere right now. Kaylee's cousin is a fan of yours. Her sister's are great but more relaxed. Y/n is great she's just been through hell in the past year." Connor told him.

Chris heard your name thinking, I know she's at something similar in Cape Cod as well, but what are the chances it would be y/n. "Did you just say the name y/n?"

Conner eyed Chris carefully, he knew full well y/n worked for Chris's lawyer, but what are the chances he ever met her. "Why are you asking buddy, you know her or something?"

"No I don't think so, just I know of a girl with that name is all." Chris said.

"Connor you know where Paul headed of to, he's been gone a while. Thought he is your best man?" he asked

"Oh ya, he's at the beach. Kaylee, her cousin's and their friend Jill had this plan to set up Paul with y/n for his date this weekend. Their hoping they will end up dating by the time wedding rolls around. I told them not to, you and I both know Paul isn't interested in dating at all. I know y/n isn't either. Girls sometimes they get an idea in their head there is no stopping them." Conner said jokingly.

Just than Kaylee came over to talk interrupting them. Her eyes shot up just at the end of the grass yard. Right at the property walk way down the the beach. Jill, Emma and Amber all came over by you guys.

"I knew it would work." Kaylee said.

Jill, Emma and Amber all said "of course he is the perfect guy for her."

Jill though was the only one who knew about y/n and Chris talking online, she wondered how Chris would take this, she remember y/n they just know each other through your work. That Chris isn't interested he's nothing more than a friend. Jill went along with Kaylee's idea cause she hoped it would help you get over your crush on Chris. When they all saw you holding hands with Paul walking towards them, laughing with each other smiling. She thought Kaylee was right, and there was no way Chris was into you.

Y/n POV

As you and Paul are holding hands laughing getting closer you can see the look on everyone's. everyone including a tall brown haired ocean eye guy. Each step you take is feeling like you sinking in quick sand. You locked eyes with him, but he's not smiling his usual happy self right now. You look up at a Paul shocked.

"What is Chris Evans doing here, it so weird." You say.

Paul looks at you laughing "Chris is one of my good friends, he knows Kaylee and Connor through me. Didn't she tell you?"
