Chris Evans : Deception

Part 25

You lying in bed when you feel an arm around your waist, pulling you closer, you feel a kiss on your forehead. You start to slowly open your eyes, looking towards the window, you panic realizing it's night time and dark out. You jump out of bed you start looking to grab some clothes. Your running around the run trying to get change and notice Chris just sitting in the bed smiling at you.

You look over at him smiling. "What time is it?"

"It's 7pm y/n." he tells you.

You look at him in shock "Omg Chris we are going to miss the dinner with everyone. My cousin is going to kill me." 

He smiles at you "Beautiful it's ok, Jill came in here to check on you. She said she let you cousin know you were still sleeping. Kaylee was ok with it just said come down when your up."

"Wait you were awake while I was still sleeping?" you ask.

"Ya your very cute when your sleeping, you know you talk in your sleep a little." he smiles at you.

You don't know what to say, feeling embarrassed "oh no I don't do I? I didn't say anything stupid?" 

He looks at you smirking "I'll think I'll keep it my little secret for a while." 

"Wait Chris please tell me, I bet it was stupid." you tell him.

He stands up and walks over to you smirking still. "Oh I let you know when the time is right. Now we need to get chance and to the dinner." He gives you a gentle kiss on the lips and heads to his room to get ready.

You and Chris meet everyone for dinner. Everything was great Connor apologized to you about Eric. Even told Chris he was right about Eric who was no longer his best man. You guys all talk and had a good time. Your sisters even told you they never seen you do happy, that Chris seems like a sweetheart for taking care of you with your hangover. You promised him and them never tequila or drinking that much again.  You and Chris headed for the beach to watch the waves after dinner. You guys talked for hours about how you would make this work. You both knew in the morning you'd be heading home to New York City and he was heading back to Boston. You both agreed though I'd things got to hard to make it work you'd be honest with each other.

The next morning everyone was loading up and heading home. You all said you goodbyes to each other. The next time was the wedding in 2 months time. Kaylee and you were still working out the details as her dream was at the Altantas resort in the Bahamas. It looked like it wouldn't happen die to the pandemic but kaylee let everyone know as of July 1st they would be open. You weren't sure if Chris would be going and thought it was to early to ask him. Than Kaylee let you know Paul was Connors new best man and him and Chris were attending as well. You thought about it 5 days in the Bahamas and Chris would be there, you knew July was going to be a crazy month for Chris as as his A Starting Point site was launching. You just wondering how the next 2 months would play out for you.

You went to say bye to Paul and Chris, Chris pulled you aside and kiss away the tiny tears coming from your eyes. "We can make this work y/n, call me tonight when you get home. Drive safely." He said and than gave you long hard kiss, he snuck his tongue in with yours. You moaned a little in your month and you could feel his smile while he kissed you more. You both pulled away out of breath, when everyone said "get a room." Than you both got in the cars and rive off in opposite directions.

3 weeks later

"Hey you promised me you tell me what I said in my sleep Chris." You giggle

"Y/n when the timing is right I'll tell you, it's only been 3 weeks." He says

"Only Chris, I swear one day I'll get you back for this, just you watch. When does you flight leave." You ask him.

"Tomorrow at 11am, so by this time tomorrow you and I will be hanging out with Widow and Dodger are your place. Thank Jill for me." He said.

It was the first time you got to physically see each other in 3 weeks. Since he admitted he liked you and had feelings for you too. You texted everyday when you could. Manage to fit in some facetime as well. Things were a little flirty more so on facetime than texting.   You both enjoyed spending what time you had together. Jill said she had plans this weekend and would be out of the apartment do you and Chris had 4 days together. He did have a interview and photoshoot for ASP he had to do with Mark. So you told him you watch the dogs and do your own thing for a few hours that day. You were a little nervous of the idea of having Chris in your home alone with you. You did like him alot but weren't sure how ready you were for things to be more heated. Yes you guys didn't get heated on facetime but in person you were super nervous. Your mind was distracted at the thought of having to sleep in the same bed with him, wondering if you be able to sleep next to him at all.

"Hey y/n I lost you there, what's on your mind." He asked

You didn't know what to say "I just I'm a little nervous."

"Talk to me." Chris said

"It's just I know we flirt on here and it's nice believe I love it." You say.

He smiles with that smirk again. "Oh I know you love it I love it too."

"Chris really, its just I don't know if in ready. It's our first time seeing each other in person. I just don't want you thinking I'm that type. I just...." He cuts you off.

"Y/n I would never think that of you. I know you were only with your ex. We can take things slow if you want I'm ok with it. Why don't we just play it by ear so there is no pressure on either of us." He suggests.

Your surprised Eric was never this understand if you shot him down he yell and scream till you gave into him. "Really your not disappointed or upset with me?"

"Y/n your an amazing woman and no I would never be upset or disappointed with you. Yes I'm a man and I want to do that with you one day but when we are ready. What if I disappoint you. I want it to be special for both of us. You told me how it was with that idiot and you deserve something special." He says

"Wow Chris you are so sweet. I still can't believe I have you in my life." You tell him

"I feel the same about you y/n." He says as shoots you a kiss through the phone.

You guys keep talking and than as it gets later Chris says his goodnight. Telling you he's got to be up early to get somethings done for the site. You can't wait to see him tomorrow, he told you to get a nice dress now that restrictions were lifting a little more. He said he had a surprise for you tomorrow night and you had no idea what he was planning. You were just drifting of to sleep with the TV on, Widow was snuggling right beside your leg on the bed. Just as you closed your eyes your phone went off, it was Emma sending you a screenshot. The caption said Chris Evans broke my engagement. It was some slizzy tabloid with Eric claiming this, you and Chris knew at one point he would do something to cause problems. You wished you never knew Eric and he let is go, you never told Chris but Eric kept contacting you through some texting app. You block him and he would change the number a few days later and text you. They all said the same you will always be mine. If I can't have you no one can. You rolled your eyes and knew you'd be talking to Chris about the tabloid in the morning.

Chris sent a text just as you started to sleep again. Baby I wanted to tell you, I know what Eric did don't worry my team is on it. They are printing a retraction as I text this to you. Don't worry about this at all. Goodnight sweet dreams, see you in the morning. You thought wow he is the the best guy yes he's imperfect but he cares about the people in his life. He looks out for them. You finally drift off to sleep but eventually you haunted by the nightmares again.
