Chris Evans : Deception

Part 6

6am buzzing again, you roll over in bed annoyed with you alarm on you iPhone. Dreading they day at the office. You refuse to believe that just cause that account had the blue check mark beside his name you still feel it's fake. You pick up your phone and the notification is right there again. The same ChrisEvans Twitter account contact you with a blue check mark. You open think everyone Tanya and Jordan Jill now even has heard about it they all think it's real. You though with everything with Eric have lost your trust in anyone other than those closest to you. You roll your eyes open it "hey look I'm sorry that you have had fake accounts bothering you, they really are garbage please be careful. This is really me Chris though." You just don't have time to argue with and idiot and respond with "please just stop and don't contact me again leave the guy alone."

You go to shower and get ready for work, put on the dress Tanya picked out, but now Jill is up and she doing your hair and make up for work. You know all about the meeting and are nervous hoping you don't have to look at the guy know you wouldn't be able to say a word to him. You hope you just get to stick to your desk and out of the meeting.

"So are you nervous about work today y/n what if Chris Evans talks to you, or brings up his Dm you ripped him apart about." Jill says

"Omg would you drop it, it's not him I looked online those can be photoshop I'm sure these idiots have other ways of doing this, or someone hacked his account. Just drop it I got another Dm." Y/n say

"Wait what did you say back, I hope you where nice to him this time." She said

"Jill hear me I told him to leave me be, leave the real guy alone listen it's not him. That man yes is coming to meet his lawyer, who is my boss, but trust me he won't even noticed me or give a shit." Y/n say.

"You never know girl, y/n you look great and you just might catch his eye." Jill says.

You almost fell over laughing at what she just said to you. "Jill you need to get some help, it's not him bugging me. Be real." you say.

You hug her bye, and head out the door to work. You stop at Starbucks on the way to grab a tea and bagel. You manage to grab Matt his coffee he always wants fresh on his desk first thing. You walk to your office building, you walk inside, getting on the elevator you look at your phone and noticed you had another dm from an hour ago. You opened it again, rolling your eyes in anger "You really, think I know how to photoshop and make a new account that copies mine I am not that tech savvy." You where about to just report and block this creep again, but you where so anger, and hurt thinking how stupid do these morons thing I am. You started typing and this time you weren't so nice. "look I don't know who the fuck you are but stop I know your are not him. Just stop I work for someone who works for the actor. It wouldn't take much for my boss to get involved at all, find out who you really are and charge you." You press send and report them again. 

You head into the boardroom to make sure everything is set up for the meeting, you place papers and contract at each chair. You have made sure there's water, drinks, snacks as you follow the list Matt gave you. Everything look organized just how you would do anything. You head back to your desk just outside of Matt's office, and pick up his coffee place it on his desk. You are back at your desk and notice again another dm, you look at it and just don't engage you said what you needed too. Delete like it never happened as you do all of them. 

You see Matt walking into the office, "Hello y/n, is the boardroom all set up for my meeting?"

"Hi Matt, yes hope it's ok I came in extra early today to get it all done." y/n say.

"That is great thank you, it will help me out a lot today, looks good in there." he says as he looks in the boardroom.

Just as he heads to his office he says "y/n please show Mr. Evans and his team to the boardroom once they get here." 

One mention of his name and your anxiety creeps in, "Ah yes Matt, would you like me to page you first?"

"Perfect that works I just have a couple phone calls to work on they should be here soon." he says as he goes into his office closing the door.

You go about you usual work, filing, answering phone calls booking appointments for his clients. You hear the office door open, your nervous to look up. It's your job though you don't have a choice, you sit in your chair at the desk, as a few men come up to your desk. 

"Hello we are here to meeting with Matt Bowker about contracts for our client over there. You look to the man standing behind them over by the couch, you can't help but smile as soon as you see him. Chris Evans, he is talking to his publicist a blonde hair woman with him. He smiling and laughing, when he notices you he just stares in shock at first than the smile fades as if you upset him or something.

"Ok, well if you all would like to follow me into the boardroom, I'll let Mr. Bowker know your here." y/n say as you show them into the boardroom. 

Everyone is super nice to you thanking you. Eventually Chris comes up to you and asks you if you can show him to the washroom. You leave the boardroom with him. The both of you walk down the hallway you just walk looking at the ground you show him to the room. 

"Here this is where it is, is there anything I can get you that you need for you meeting Mr. Evans." y/n said.

He looks at you with a little smirk your not sure what he is thinking or going to say but what he does say shocks the hell out of you. "No I'm ok, but thank you it's really nice of you y/n, actually I might need some help I'm not very tech savvy some people just don't believe me." He walks away.

Your just standing there in shock, thinking wait did I actually flip out on the real guy online, is everyone else right I was wrong. You go back to your desk in shock, you tell you brain to shut up that he was just making some weird joke. That is was all fake nothing more, you refuse to believe it still. You start going about your work and trying to forget what he just said to you. Matt finally comes out of his office looking at you.

"Y/n your coming to the boardroom now with us, I need you there with your laptop for any notes I need to adjust the contracts. I'm hoping it all goes smoothly but you never know." Matt says.

You look in shock how are you going function in that room. You follow him into the boardroom and sit down with the laptop on the table. You pick the seat right next to Matt so you can follow along. You feel like someone is watching you though, you look up and notice seated right across from you with that smile is Chris, you have no idea why he keeps staring at you. You really just want to run from the room, but can't your trapped in there for the next few hours.

Authors Note: What would you all thing if that man was sitting across a boardroom table from you staring at you. There will be something building with this for sure. It will take time for Y/n to believe whats coming and be honest we all would have a hard time believing it. Hope your enjoying the book. Comments are welcome have a good day.
