Chris Evans : Deception

Part 11

You and Jill spent the first Saturday in lockdown binge watching some old movies. You guys did both nails and just laugh joked around. Jill ordered dinner online, you ordered groceries. You guys just spent the day laughing and thinking 2 weeks. It will fly by fast. Eventually you guys went to sleep. You went to you room and went to turn on you alarm like you normally would to go to the gym. Than thinking about it, Y/n idiot the gym is closed for lockdown, you crashed the bed realizing you could just sleep in Sunday morning and take it easy. You grab you phone, and call you mom to check on your family.

"Hi Mom, how are you guys?" you ask.

"Y/N I wish you could come home here. Your dad is ok, you sister's are fine. Where just keeping and I eye your brother in law. He works as an essential worker. He just came back from a business trip and he is isolating away from her and the kids." your mom tells you.

"Oh wow mom, I hope your all safe ok. Please mom make sure dad doesn't be stubborn and leave the house." you said.

"Honey, you know I won't let him out of my site. Your dad is taking this Covid -19 very serious. He even told the gardeners to take time off for the 2 weeks." your mom says.

"Ok thanks just worried about everyone mom. My boss said I could work for home for these two weeks. Miss you mom." you say.

"We miss you too dear, it makes me feel better knowing you can work from home and be safe. Look honey it's late and I need to sleep please call any change we love you and miss you." your mom says.

"Ok mom get some rest love you too. Goodnight I call you soon to check in I promise." you say.

Hanging up with phone, you about to go to sleep, you look and see a notification on twitter in the dm's. You open it and says "you unfollowed me?". You look at the dm again from a blue checkmark account but again you know it's fake. You just send back "like I said your not Chris Evans just stop already seriously. You know there's Covid virus and it's out of control, people are dying and you just trying to scam innocent people. Pretending to be a good person. Please leave me alone already." You put your phone on silent and go to sleep, your dreams are haunted by the meeting at work. The run in with Chris at the coffee shop, than again outside his agents office. His words keep playing on repeat while your trying to sleep. You keep tossing and turning, you can't sleep and wake up. Put on the tv in your room and just try to fall asleep watching one of your favourites Forever My Girl on Netflix. Eventually you drift back to sleep.

You wake the next morning eventually at 9:30am, grab you phone if the night stand. Again another Dm but from a fake account for sure, it had no blue check marks. You just deleted the message not even looking at it. You notice a text from Matt "y/n we have a meeting tomorrow at 11am over zoom with Mr. Evans and his team. If you don't have zoom make sure you get it sorted out today please." Your thinking a zoom meeting from home this will be awkward. You start typing "ok boss I don't have zoom but will get that uploaded and ready today. Hope you and Tanya are safe and having a good time." You head to the kitchen to make breakfast for you and Jill. She comes in tells you she is super board already. You guys eat and say let's puts on masks and get outside at least for a walk around the streets.

You both get changed into relaxed everyday clothes. Leggings hoodies sneakers. It nice to get some fresh air. Even though it's cold outside and you wearing masks. You guys pick to do this everyday for the next couple weeks. You joke and talk have fun. As the days goes by you start hearing rumours of lockdown being longer. You guys FaceTime your families and friends. Watch movies work out best you can joke around with social media. You keep getting fake accounts on twitter  and just ignore them, you just laugh at them, but the days and weeks soon becomes months.

Now is nearing the end of April, you spent Easter with Jill. You guys FaceTimed your families to spend the holiday together from a distance. You spent a lot of time reading. Work has been steady, you have perfected working from home now. You still remember the last zoom call with Chris Evans, Matt and his team. Chris kept asking your thoughts on things. He kept mentioned social media and why is makes him sad. You can understand where he is coming from with the fake accounts not stopping. You never followed him back and not hardly like or comment on anything about him. You remembered when they started talking about his new website the entire idea you loved it. You told Jill what you could not much, but said it's something America needs. You and Jill even had a marble movie marathon that took weeks just one movie per day. Your dreading May 1st as it was a special day for you and a Eric, which he has been trying hard to contact you.

"Y/n I fucked up, it was big huge mistake, please give me another chance."

"Eric I gave millions of chances you weren't always nice to me ok. I'm happy now please leave me alone."

That was just one text he had sent you. It was becoming a daily issue. So much you change your phone number and social media accounts. Since he had found you on them before.

May 1st comes and goes you didn't do much. You talked to your sisters. They remind you in a few weeks you have your cousin Kaylee's stag and doe kind of weekend out in Cape Cod. They say less than 25 people will be there, but Kaylee wants you to have a date. You tell them to tell her your ok going with just Jill.

Kaylee calls you "hey Y/n please I found the perfect guy for you, he friends with Connor. Just he will be there on the weekend gov think a shot."

"Kaylee if I just meet him and talk to him will you get off my back." You ask her.

"Yes start with that, but I swear you will love him. Plus you get over the childhood crush finally on Chris Evans. You seems to have a lot following you online I hope you don't talk to them they're all fake. Sorry girl but the truth that man would never talk to you." She tells you.

"Wow keep it real cousin. I have spoken to the really Chris before at work, but that's it. No I'm not stupid I don't talk to those scammers relax. Love you bye girl. Just need to rest I have headache now."

You slept a lot that day, even Tanya Matt's wife called to check on you. You had become good friends with her. Missing a normal life and daily routine, your anxiety of this never ending lockdown was getting to you. Jill even was just in her pjs most of the day now. Today thought it was May 2nd and you wanted to have some fun. You and Jill ordered breakfast today.

"Oh hey y/n did you know your favourite person join Instagram the other day?" She says

"What favourite person is that?" You ask

"Really omg,  you know Chris Evans. Your bosses client that I know you think about." She says

"Shut up Jill. Really I told you about the fake accounts. Not one of them was him do I look stupid to you." You say

"Y/n lol I'm just joking with you, but I have heard your zoom meetings with your boss. He does seem to like your input." She smiles at you.

"Jill he just wants everyone perspective on what he's got coming up. It's nice that he respect people's opinions. Just drop it." You say.

You look at your Instagram and do come across his account. Think what the hell, I'm trapped in lockdown nothing much to do. You follow him, and figure why not I'll send a Dm. "Hey Chris I work for your lawyer Matt. Just came across this account just wanted to say hi. Hope your keeping safe and you family and friends are safe." You put the phone down before sending it. Second guessing yourself, you start making lunch for you and Jill. You figure actually you probably shouldn't send him the Dm, you'll erase it once lunch is done. Your phones on the counter and notice out of the corner of your eye Jill, she board and you guys have be prancing each other.

"What this your going to send Chris Evans a message, you didn't send it yet." Jill says laughing.

"No Jill do me a favour, delete it, it super stupid of me." You ask her soon to regret it.

"What it's sweet, and I know you do like the guy. Who knows maybe you should send it." She says

"Jill seriously, he would never see it anyways, he probably is flooded with millions of messages every minute. Just delete it for me ok." You ask

Jill said ok and deletes the massage. You don't think about it at all. You guys are eating lunch when you look at your phone. You go to close out Instagram app. Just to be sure cause you don't completely trust Jill kept her word. You guys have been have an all out prank war. You look and right there is says send instead of deleting the message to him she sent it. You just roll your eyes and look at her laughing saying this is war. Inside your freaking out but telling yourself he will never see it. Your finally calm but feel like the world's biggest idiot. You go to have a nap as you have headache now too. When you wake you get the surprise of you life, but want to hide let the world swallow you up hole.

Authors Note: Hope your  enjoying the story, lockdown was hard for everyone all over the world. Myself I did things with kids and wrote lots of stories. It's good to be out of the crazy time, but understand we still deal with covid and now monkeypox. I agree everyone has the right to choose, but always sanitize, wear a mask when needed and if your sick isolate. Covid is something we just have to learn now to adapt to and live with. Let's not make is hard for everyone.
