CHAPTER 10

Celestaire's POV

I ENTER THE ROOM and open the lights. The bright light bulb light up the dark and cold room. I smiled as I look around the room.

Naglakad ako papalapit sa bintana at binuksan ang kurtinang nakasara. I opened the windows too and the cold night breeze went in. I felt the coldness on my skin and my body hair raised.

Napatingin ako sa langit at pinagmasdan ang madilim na kalangitan. Tanging mga bituin at ang buwan lamang ang nagsisilbing liwanag sa buong kalangitan. I smiled and closed my eyes as I remember three people.

Ate Celestine, Lolo Apollo and Lola Celeste.

Those three are really the best. They did everything to make me happy. They took care of me in their own kind of way. They loved me with all their heart. They kept me safe so I can have a safe, healthy and happy life.

I remember Lola makes snacks for me so I won't be sad. Kapag umuuwi kami sa pilipinas noon ay laging binibigay niya ang gusto ko. She makes me smile everytime I feel lonely in the hospital. She and lolo doesn't fail to make me giggle, chuckle, or laugh. Never failed to make my day bright.

I sat on the bed and hugged my sister's Pikachu. Kahit sampung taon na ang nakalipas, hindi namin ginalaw ang mga gamit niya dito sa kwarto niya. Ako pa nga mismo naglilinis nito dahil ayoko maiba ang ayos nito. I want it to stay like what it is when my twin sister left it.

Kapag naaalala ko siya o nami-miss pumupunta talaga ako dito. This is my comfort place, feels like she's still here. I took the picture frame near her bed side table. Our picture when we were young. I was smiling at the picture and she has a playful smile and wink.

The other frame, it's her and kuya. Nakapasan siya kay Kuya Connor habang nakangiti nang matamis. Si Kuya naman ay nakangiti din habang nakatingin kay Ate. The bond they have before did came back, but it didn't last long.

The other frame is with our friends. I remember this is our birthday. Our seventeenth birthday party. Nasa gitna kami at nakatabi sa bawat gilid namin sila Gavi, Hetty, Hetta, Val at Aly. Ang babata pa namin dito, so cute parang kailangan lang.

The last frame is their picture. Blaze, Ate and their Winter. Nakayakap si Blaze sa likod ni Ate at si Ate Celes naman ay buhat-buhat si Winter. Nakapikit at nakangiti nang matamis si Ate habang si Blaze naman ay masayang nakapikit at nakahalik sa pisngi niya. They look so sweet and full of love. The love I thought that won't last that quick.

While looking at the frames, I heard a knock on the door. Bago pa man makalingon ay bumukas na ito. I saw him smiling as he walk towards me. Naupo din siya sa tabi ko. Kinuha niya ang isang frame. Ang group photo namin.

"Madaya si Celestine. Hindi man lang pina-frame group picture namin." Sabi niya.

I smiled. "Baka nakalimutan lang."

"Sabagay, makakalimutin din yun minsan." He laughed. "I don't have a picture of all of us. Balak ko sana noong high school graduation, group photo tayong lahat."

I sighed. "Well.. I want that too. Our last group picture with the girls was 10 years ago. Noong nag-bar kami at nabugbog ka."

"Doon naman nagsimula love story natin." Sagot niya at ngumisi.

I raised a brow. "You're lucky I had a crush on you that time. Kasi kung hindi, hindi talaga ako magpapadala sa panlalandi mo. My sister warned me a thousand times about boys. She's too protective."
