CHAPTER 17

Celestaire's POV

"A-ATE?" I WHISPERED AS I stared at her face.

She tilted her head and looked around her. She looked at me again, and pointed herself as if she's confirming I was really calling her. Her lovely face was confused on what's going on.

After 10 years of missing her, I saw her again. Suddenly I realized something. Her eyes are different. She doesn't have the eye color I was hoping to see again. The blue bell eyes, I was missing before is now way different.

Brown?

I was confused why she has brown eyes. I almost thought she's a different person because of her eyes, but the face is really saying she's my twin. My long lost twin sister.

"Uhm.. Hi?" She asked.

I gulped. "Ate.."

"Are you calling me ate? Do I know you?" She politely asked.

I felt a stab on my chest, because of her words. She doesn't know me? How? Ako ang kakambal niya. Paano niya hindi ako makikilala? It's impossible na hindi siya si Ate Celestine.

"Ikaw ang ate ko. My twin sister to be exact." I said and went closer to her to hug her.

She was shocked when I hugged her. I smiled as I embrace her in my arms. I thought she will hug me back, but she slowly pushed me away from her. I was confused why.

"Uhm.. Maybe you are just thinking na kambal tayo, but we are not." Sabi niya at humiwalay sakin.

"Hindi, ikaw ang ate ko. Ate Celestine, I'm Celestaire.. Iya. D-don't you remember me?" I asked her.

"You must be taking about someone else. Well, it's cool to see we look alike, but hindi kita kilala at malabong may kakambal ako. Wala kaming lahi ng kambal." Sabi niya at ngumiti sakin.

Umiling ako. "Hindi. Kilala kita. Ikaw ang ate ko. Ate, hindi pwedeng hindi mo ako kilala. I miss you so much. Matagal na namin ikaw hinahanap." Sabi ko at hinawakan kamay niya. "Are you wearing contacts? Why are you hiding your blue bell eyes?"

She just smiled. "I'm sorry, but I'm not your ate. I'm Celine. Celine Mendoza and, I'm not wearing contact lenses, this are my real eyes." Sabi niya at tinanggal ang kamay ko sa pagkahawak sa kamay niya.

I stood there in shocked as she leave me there. I felt a weight on my chest as I blinked twice. I was confused on what she just said. A tear fell from my eye. I looked back at her. She didn't looked at me again, as she is waiting for her change on the counter.

After getting the change, she took it and smiled at the cashier before leaving the place. I just stayed there, shocked as I watch her leave. A moment of realization came up to me before I left all the things I was about to buy.

I ran outside to caught up with her. She quickly got in a black SUV and they drove off. I was catching my breathe and looked at the plate number. Nagmadali akong tumakbo papunta sa van at pumasok sa loob.

Nagulat sila sa inasta ko. "Woah.. Nasaan binili mo?" Ralph asked.

"Nakabili ka, Iya?" Kuya asked.
